The committee chair just said exactly what many of us on here have been saying. Our wins in the first two months matter just as much as if they happened the last two months. But I'm sure some people are still wondering when the humans will start looking at things and keep us out. :facepalm

Things went exactly as predicted. Could have made a lot of easy money if everybody on here was a gambler.

The problem is, much like the CFP, it can be hard to follow year to year what is important.

I didn't know the Committee stopped looking at last 10. I had that as a negative against us. I personally believe how a team is playing down the stretch should matter when comparing equal teams.

I almost posted a few days ago that I thought our overall season would get us in, but that are finish would affect our seeding. And that is basically what the Committee Chair said as well. So maybe had our season been reversed, we'd have had the ability to have been a better seed.

I think we'll find out if they matter the same come Thursday

Win or lose in The Dance, it is always best to be in The Dance.

Regarding the the topic of this thread, it is kind of amazing that Joe Lunardi really knows his brackets. He never wavered regarding OU's chances of Dancing.

Listening to the ESPN pundits is a waste of time, unless one enjoys sensationalized mouth-breathing.

Joe Lunardi is an ESPN pundit

But he's not a past player or coach who thinks his past qualifies him as the voice of reason. Now, any of the pundits can be right. I knew OU would probably make it because they wanted Trae Young in the NCAA's. I also know that its better to make it and lose than to not but I just don't want to see another mediocre team make ours look like an also-ran when the only difference in the teams is a heart.
