This is the first time the Grizzlies have ever been considered to be the best team in the league, so I'm going to relish this while I can, haha... Especially if they faceplant vs. the Bobcats tonight.
we're finally getting the answer as to how a healthy rudy gay would have affected the '10-11 griz.
i'd contend gasol is the most complete center we've seen in a decade. maybe one could argue yao or bynum, when healthy. but gasol's footwork is just a treasure to watch. and that's why he gets the nod.
This team is showing what it can do when Rudy and Z-Bo are both healthy (like you said, Rudy was out when they gave the Thunder all they could handle in 2011, and Z-Bo wasn't 100% when they lost to the Clippers in 2012). Hopefully they'll be fresh come playoff time.

He's definitely the most complete right now, which is why I said he qualifies as a "quarter" in another thread. Anyone that's a fan of basketball would appreciate his work; he's a tough defender, has tremendous footwork for his size, and is the best passing center in the league. Dwight Howard is the best center, but Gasol has the best all-around game.
