GAME 0 - OKLAHOMA (0-0) vs #24 WISCONSIN (0-0) in Milwaukee 7:00pm CST on B1G+

Definitely some sloppy moments, but got a W. More importantly, this team looks like it can be as good as any we’ve had in ten years. The defensive lapses should be cleaned up, & offensively we’ll find more of an identity. Wisconsin’s a good basketball team.

There were some frustrating stretches in the second half when the offense was stagnant and we had a few turnovers. Lots still to work on, but a very a good win. It didn't feel like an exhibition game and I kind of wish it hadn't been. It's going to be a fun season.

So glad the NCAA passed the rule allowing these games. So much better than teams just playing small colleges. And unlike pro sports, teams actually play their best guys and treat it almost like a real game.

Minor quibbles: turnovers and allowing too many offensive rebounds. Those three straight TOs late were rough and let them back in it when we should have been in control.

I assume Davis is fine since he did play a couple minutes in the second half. He wasn’t much of a factor in the first half but pretty much everyone else had good moments. I sure wish this team was going to play better teams at home so the fans would have a reason to come watch them!

Nice exhibition win for Porter Moser and the #Sooners against a ranked opponent. OU 84, Wisconsin 83.

— Xzayvier Brown: 18 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds

— Nijel Pack: 15 points, 5 rebounds

— Derrion Reid: 14 points, 4 rebounds

— Jeff Nwankwo: 10 points, 3 rebounds

Rebound absolutely killed us last year. They have to be better this year.

Won the rebounding battle but gave up too many offensive boards

Too Many TOs, stagnant on offense at times, 5 spot is a weakness, screen switching was an adventure, BUT

Beat a good wiscy team in Wisconsin, showed out from behind the line, big athleticism upgrade, lots of guys who can create a shot, won the rebounding battle, and played 9 guys double digit minutes…

Wiscy leaned on 5 guys with 2 others playing 13 minutes each

I think we got the athletes to be better at it.

Having Davis and Reid that are 6-8/6-9 and Kai Rogers looks like he's a legit center. I don't know how much Atak will play right now but he's real long too.

Some of our missed rebounds were because they got in each others way that's real correctable stuff.

Got out of there with a W and no injuries. Perfect!

Also: Does Jadon Jones ever see the court for OU?
That’s a fair question. I know they are downplaying whatever the injury is, but they also didn’t let on last season how serious the back injury was. I remember listening to the pregame show before the opener last season and it sounded as if he had a minor issue pop up and would be back fairly quickly. At this point, I don’t think we have even heard what the injury is.
