Kruger is apparently scouting some jucos at the Region VI tournament tonight in Wichita.

Looks like the teams playing tonight were Cowley, Seward, Cloud and Barton. I'll have to skim those rosters to see if any names stands out.

If anyone knows go ahead and chime in.

Edit: Scroll down to updated info on possible offer Devon Branch.

SG from Cloud County?

Re: Kruger scouting jucos tonight in Wichita

I would guess he is looking at Devon Branch, who averages 19ppg for Cloud and was once a K-State commit. He is being recruited by Oregon, Maryland, A&M, and Wichita State. 6'5'' 170.

Yeah, I was just about to post that Devon Branch, a 6-5 guard from Cloud County, seems like a guy that's getting some Big 12 looks.

Re: Kruger scouting jucos tonight in Wichita

The reporter on twitter who said that Kruger was there mentioned James Milliken (6-2 guard) and Daveon Boardingham (6-7, 225 forward) from Seward as guys who could be getting looks. But it didn't sound like he had definite info on that.

Looking at the rosters, Milliken is a freshman and Boardingham is averaging 11 points and five rebounds this year.

Dwayne Brunson is a 6-7 forward for Barton (originally from Queens, NY) who is averaging 17 points, 10 boards and almost three blocks per game (87 in 30 games). He could be a guy getting looked at too.

Re: Kruger scouting jucos tonight in Wichita

Actually, it looks like Cloud County's Devon Branch (6-5 guard) may indeed one of the guys Kruger was watching.

Back on February 20, a reporter from Maryland (where Branch is from) tweeted this:

Former Aberdeen guard and top JUCO prospect Devon Branch just picked up an offer from Oklahoma, according to his uncle

Looks like Land Thieves also posted about this on his board a couple of weeks ago so props to them for finding it.

In an article with 247Sports, Branch listed A&M and Oregon as his leaders in late February.

Through 29 games this season, he was averaging 20.4 points, 5.5 rebs, 3.4 assists and two steals per game.

He was quoted in the 247Sports article talking about his pressure defense first. Said he needed to work on his shooting but was (22-of-53) from 3-point range as of Feb. 24.

That's only if he's a former D-1 player or he puts up big numbers in a random juco league.

This is exactly the type of player I was hoping we'd go after to fill these final two spots. Hopefully we can land this kid, and maybe the Nolan guy. :clap
