Larry, Larry, Larry

Haha.. Story Time-
Went to the Thunder Clinic on Saturday... Larry was a speaker..
Him and Sherri Coale did some role play (QandA)

Moderator asked each one to give the other some "advice" Larry asked Sherri to give him some advice on his Pending ncaa investigation... (crowd went crazy)

Glad he finds it so funny.... really nice to get kids like Shake to commit and cost him a year of playing in the postseason, as well as limited success cause they won't be able to fill a whole roster of scholarship players, all because he thinks NCAA rules are jokes...

BTW, this is his THIRD school to get NCAA sanctions at... dude is a scumbag

The NCAA is a joke. Brown is a three time loser and gets a 30% suspension. It seems to me the article says he wasn't clear. Which is a way to say he misled the NCAA or was unethical.

Dez Bryant was accused of lying about a meeting with Deon Sanders and was suspended for 10 games (including a bowl game). Saying he lied about a meeting is another way of saying he wasn't clear about the meeting. I get that lying goes beyond not being clear but this is similar. Why are kids held to such a higher standard? This is very, very wrong. Why doesn't the media address this?

The NCAA goes after 18-22 year old student athlete with a vengeance but rarely does anything to coaches, ADs and school presidents (I think they never go after the Presidents and ADs. All of those people are making big money and should be held to a higher standard than children or young adults if you are hung up on 18. (Keep in mind new federal law allows a child to stay on your health insurance until 25, so we recognize young adults need assistant well past 18).

Too late to get Shake back?

Don't feel sorry for him, this should not be a surprise to any sharp individual.

SMU needs to clean house all the way up thru the president because they still don't get it. They should have taken the Boren, Joe C approach and made playing by the rules more important than the best chance to win hire of Larry Brown. SMU remains tainted to the point that they will not be perceived as clean for at least 20yrs if even then .

I can't believe no one has a problem with the NCAA being tougher on Bryant than Brown. Bryant simply was a scared kid and not being paid a $1,000,000ish a year.

Its not that. My guess is that many of us have become jaded by NCAA “fairness” in meting out punishments over the decades. The actual unfairness is no longer a surprise, but commonplace.

I think the issue with Bryant was along the lines of the meeting itself was also against NCAA rules as Deion was employed/working alongside an agent at the time. Bryant lied to NCAA cause he did not want them to know what the meeting was about. The meeting may have had nothing to due with any agent, but when you won't tell what it was about it looks bad. Bryant punishment was to much, but there was more to it then just lying about the meeting.

I may be wrong, but the discipline didn't have anything to do with the meeting b/t deion and dez. It was strictly for lying.

The decision was based on whether Bryant "actively and deliberately concealed, omitted or provided inaccurate or false information" to the NCAA and whether he had multiple chances to provide accurate information but did not do so.

The Dez Bryant who was arrested for assaulting his mom? Like he wasn't receiving illegal benefits while in Stillwater. He's cowboy trash, OSU and Dallas. Oh yeah, he didn't catch the ball in the playoffs game either. Textbook incomplete.

Troll of all trolls. You just say things to piss off people.

I still think Brown will never get the "outlaw" label because he once coached at Sanctimony U (also known as Kansas). The Beakers are such media darlings, it's sickening.

Not surprised in the least with this "occurrence". It was only a matter of time before SMU or Brown flirted with their history of skating the rules. I respect Brown as a good basketball coach, but this isn't the first time his ethics have come into question.

Shake knew he was playing with fire. Now he got burned. He wanted to be "the man", and this is the price he paid.

Despite the fact that Kansas has perhaps the longest history of cheating in college basketball.

The funny things is, why would I or any OU fan care about these obvious troll comments. I am not a fan of Bryant. I think he is a good football player but I don't like OSU and I don't like Dallas. I also don't like some of Bryant's off the field issues, particularly the allegations of violence.

Boca is a strange person. If he is honest about his personal life, he is likely quite successful but he seems exceptionally immature to me. It is odd to me how often really immature people are successful in this world.
