Last night buddy put his freshman and junior year together. He FINALLY started driving and realizing when he had a smaller guard on him he should back him into the post. This is what Russell Westbrook is INSANELY lethal at. Buddy shooting 9 free throws and hitting all of them is huge. That's what he's got to do tonight in terms of driving and getting people in foul trouble. He shot 50% from 3 and only(yes I said only) 6 of his 15 FG attempts were from behind the arc. Sometime he settles too much for 3pt attempts. Last night he "took what the defense gave him". I was really proud and impressed with his poise and how he played last night. I love stats but I also read deeper into how a player plays and his decisions in the game. I would probably say 3-5 of buddies attempts were missed because of how physical the game was last night and I could see those foul calls coming tonight if it's that way again. I'm sure Kruger will address the refs before the game just because of that. From what I saw buddies shots were definitely on point and his misses came at the rim ...some fluke some extremely "contested". Haha but I think the way he shot and Isaiah shot as well as how Tay played down low could really be good for us tonight. Boomer sooner! Let's go get this one!

If you're talking about the second half I agree. He was bad in the first half...too many contested jumpers.

Buddy did indeed take too many contested shots in the first half. I think that was because he was trying to make something happen when nothing in our offense seemed to be working.

IMO, he tends to try too hard in those situations. He's a much better shooter, and player, when he take better shots in the flow of the offense instead of trying to force the action. I'm happy to say he did that in the second half. It also helped that his teammates stepped up and the results was 180 degrees improvement in our offense in that half.

He definitely has a propensity to go AAU Westbrook mode and take some of the dumbest shots I've seen outta an OU guard. But he can also fill it up. He's feast/famine just like Westbrook can be at times
