It's interesting because Kelvin started off owning Texas but being pretty even with Okie St. Then, Texas started beating us about the time OU started owning OSU.

So did the '72-'73 Sooners. They beat Texas once, and beat the Aggies three times including in KC in the old Big 8 Holiday Tournament held in December.

So first time since 1979? Wow, impressive.

I saw three of those four games in '79 in person. Saw both games with OSU and the one in Norman when OU beat the favored Bevos, 71-65. The game in Dallas was maybe the best game an OU team of the era played - they just pummeled UT in the NCAA first rounder at Moody Coliseum.

Texas was definitely favored in both games in '79. OSU wasn't much back then but was kind of a "thorn in your side" kind of team. We actually had an easier time with them in Stillwater than in Norman.
