Heard from someone who was there last night that Lattin was talking a ton of trash at halftime.

Then, in the ESPN locker room postgame shot, you hear McKay yelling "Where Lattin at?"

1) I hope we just take care of business from here on out. As the favorite, it rarely does you any good to get mouthy.

2) I hope our coaches have McKay & Iowa State's locker room reaction on video to show before the Big XII Tourney.

Buddy kind of pushed Lattin to keep him quiet or from getting a T late in the game.

I think Lattin is going to be better than McKay when he is a senior.

I like the fact that KL has a little attitude to him. He is growing into his own as each game that goes by. I love what he adds to the team.

Agree ... but having said that, Lattin got whipped by McKay last night. Big time.

Nothing to see here except to show Lattin's got an edge to him. Now he just needs to back it up. It's only talk if you can't do anything about it.

McKay is a super wild card for ISU.

If he plays well, they are a Final Four type team, imo.

He was fantastic last night.

If only he was oh i dunno, leading the conference in blocked shots and 7th in rebounding. Maybe that would back it up

What he's done for the season doesn't matter in this one game. He was talking in this game and didn't back it up. I'm a huge fan of his and the improvements he's made but, if he's going to talk, make it mean something. I love that he was confident enough to get into it but I hate that he didn't play better and got dominated by the guy he was jawing with. That's weak sauce and he'll learn from it.

Lattin & McKay

Then he should keep his mouth shut. If you're gonna run your trap, better back it up.

Exactly and especially in this conference.

Senior vs a Sophomore. Lattin is getting better and better.

I think McKay is the least of what Lattin can become. I still believe Harvey Grant is about where his ceiling lies.

makes me wonder if some of the people here are even OU fans?

YES, but will he be better than Mitchell Soloman??? :ez-laugh:

Lattin's shooting is going to have to improve immensely to reach Grant's status. Harvey's shot was good as gold from inside the key. Lattin's game is much more defensive in nature when compared to Harvey's and he is going to have to work his "bank shot" off to improve his offensive skills that much. Good luck to him.

In Grant's two years at OU he averaged 17 ppg and 10 rpg, and 21 ppg and 9 rpg. He wound up as the #12 overall pick and had a decade long NBA career. I think Lattin is a talented player who will improve a lot by the time he's a senior, but he's got a long long way to go before he ever gets to that level.
