Lattin & McKay

Grant was pretty darn efficient too. He shot 53% as a junior and 55% as a senior.

I hope Lattin can do that. i would love to see him become a guy that can elevate and shoot a 10-15 footer at a high percentage.

Lattin's shooting is going to have to improve immensely to reach Grant's status. Harvey's shot was good as gold from inside the key. Lattin's game is much more defensive in nature when compared to Harvey's and he is going to have to work his "bank shot" off to improve his offensive skills that much. Good luck to him.

Lattin is much closer to Jabahri Brown than Harvey Grant.

That's what I'd say - either J. Brown, Longar Longar or Amath M'Baye if we're comparing him to players who played at OU.

But, if you're looking for a ceiling comparing to a non-OU player, he's got a chance to be Nerlens Noel.

Lattin has tremendous ability. I am very impressed with the progression he has made from is FR to Soph year. I think it has been remarkable. Honestly, I didn't expect him to play this well until he was a JR/SR. He, Buddy and Woodard are playing significantly better than they did last year.

I'm going to sit back and enjoy the ride. I love that I can watch nearly every game this team plays.

Brown or Longar but not M'Baye who had a very nice offensive game.

Lattin has the potential to be better than those guys on offense. They are all similar body types and good offensive rebounders. What I like about Lattin is that he is well coordinated, is profiencient with either hand, makes great outlet passes and can dribble maybe as well as the other two with the exception of M'Baye.

Where he has it over M'Baye is better peripheral vision and stronger, more pinpoint passes. I think he also has bigger hands than Amath. M'Baye would often head for the basket only to have the ball slip out if his hands. Kadeem may never be the outside shooter M'Baye was (and he wasn't spectacular) but he is very capable of being an adequate short and mid-range jump shooter.

Lattin has zero offensive game right now outside of dunks and putbacks. He's a great energy guy, and an elite shotblocker. Needs major work on the boards. The potential is there, but he has a long way to go, and he's never going to approach some of the offensive stars being mentioned on here. I like the Jabahri Brown comparison.

Personally, I recall both Longar and M'Baye having good shots. M'Baye may have had more range (I don't really recall Longar shooting 3s) but Longar could certainly knock down a 15 foot shot. I would love to see Lattin develop that skill. I think he can and will.

I think Lattin has some things those two lacked. I think he is more aggressive and a better shot blocker. I am pretty excited about Lattin. If he works, I think he has a chance to be an All Conference player. Right now Lattin is the fourth leading rebounder in the league. The others in the top five are all seniors. In the top ten (actually 11 because of a tie at 10) everyone but Williams (WVU Jr) and Wade (KSU, FR) are seniors. Three of the others in the top 20 are seniors. So Lattin should be one of the top rebounders in the league if not the top next season. Also he does this with Spangler being the top rebounder and Hield at number 12.

He is already the top shot blocker in the league and the guys pushing him are seniors. He is second in offensive rebounds and everyone else in the top 6 are seniors.

In my opinion if he develops a respectable mid range shot and a single post move he is going to be very, very good.
