Don't know how they did not call flagrant on her for pulling her arm back like she was going to punch Louisville player and then pushing the player. I can see clearly why she went to Hypocrite U! She's had quite a few skirmishes this year. And Kim clearly was proud as she didn't take her out of the game! Maybe she'll get lessons from Griner over the summer so she can finish the punch!

SMH!

This has to stop.

95% the fault of the officials. Once again, the officials (who had nothing to do with the outcomes tonight) were horrible. But they have allowed Cox to throw her arms around all year. Who in the world assigned the officials to the BU - Louisville game?

Cox has had a rough year and never should have been named Freshman of the year. Tonight she missed shot after shot, looked slow, and had no impact on her team's victory. Could she get better over the years? Of course. But at this point she has been terribly inconsistent. Dungee has been dramatically more productive in so many ways than Cox.

Game after game that I've watched over last 2 weekends have shown the officials to be as bad as ever! AND they are the same officials! There was out of bounds play in TX/Stanford game near the end of the game where Melissa Barlow called out on Stanford and replay CLEARLY showed Joyner Holmes kicked the ball! Gigi and Pam Ward, I think, both said it wasn't close but still took Melissa and co over 10 minutes to change the call! Melissa and another ref kept looking at replay and then she kick out that official and had the other one come in to review! Seriously??? No time issues since ball went out of bounds! SMH!

Cox is getting a reputation for doing stuff like that. It should have been a flagrant 1, but it was Baylor, so it was just a dead ball foul....Oh well, not a game changer anyway!!! And the refs were bad, but Baylor would have still won it.

I bet Cox would look nice in a OU uniform to the same ones that always seem to want to talk bad about her.

Cox would be a nice addition to the OU roster. She plays aggressive which I like but she does appear to need to curb her anger somewhat. Makes me wonder if that red hair is real. But Kim does need rein her in to get her a little more under control.

Cox has had her moments I definitely don't see her in the same boat as past high school number 1 players like Stewie, Wilson, Lou, but she's still a freshman, so she can improve... the great Jayne Appel who went to Stanford also used her Off arm to create space and got away with it for years... I didn't see the play that was brought up here... but Louisville is not a cupcake team they have the same and Mentality as there coach... a few weeks ago I watched them destroy a young, injured, UNC team and Hines-Allen of Louisville went up for a rebound vs a Unc freshman center, and both players came down hard, but Hines-Allen jumped up and rushed the UNc player in a attempt to use a scare tactic but still I couldn't help but say wow what does Hines-Allen need to prove by trying to bully a freshman... so it all goes both ways I no you have posters here who say Mulkey turned her back on Griner, yet now Cox is the new Griner it's like you guys want to have a heart for Griner only when she's against Kim....

Can't blame Cox for picking Baylor, I'd say any kid going to Baylor has to look at it almost a guarantee to win a conference and tournament championship

First off I don't not condone Lauren's action and short fuse but I can sorta see her frustration if I was in her shoes. She is the #1 player coming out of HS which is immediate pressure. Then add the fact that Joyner-Holmes clearly out shined her this year and definitely has more talent. Also it's hard to adjust to being the star to being lucky to play half a game. I believe that is a tremendous amount of pressure to be placed on a 19 yr old! Now I agree she needs to control her temper but don't look for Kim to help. Her mentality is to just let them figure it out on their it out on their own to grow. IMO, that is where I disagree the most with Kim. You are essentially their teacher and you have the duty to mold young kids minds!

I appreciate lots of your thoughts, Mac, but there is no way Cox is a "new Griner". Griner was very impressive on the court her freshman year. Cox has had a very mediocre year and should never been voted freshman of the year. I was a bit shocked to see how many very easy shots she missed last night. At the game the moment some have mentioned was not easily apparent from the stands, so I can't comment as to how vicious it was. But she has displayed some very problematic behavior this year and appears to have a substantial temper, aggressive mental problem. Perhaps in that way she is a "new Griner".

Baylor has had a well earned reputation as ready to fight for years. It seems reasonable to believe that mentality is taught, but, of course, we cannot be certain. So perhaps it is just a trait KM looks for when recruiting.

I suspect Cox will get much better as time goes on, but this year? She was a serious disappointment.

I'd hope that any player who becomes a cheap-shot artist and who wears an OU uniform would get benched, and then run off if she didn't get the message.

I don't see where she's had much pressure. During one of Hypocrite U's games earlier in the season, the announcers stated how she wanted to go somewhere that she wasn't the sole star and that she didn't want to start as a freshman and Kim would allow her to do that. I'm not sure how you can diffuse pressure any better than that coming out of high school as the so-called #1 player. Joyner should have been #1 player anyway. Lauren couldn't be too worried about Holmes' play when she asked not to start.

Lauren's diabetes has played a factor this year in that she has had difficulty maintaining her levels and actually wears an insulin pump under her uniform. This has affected her playing time because Kim will not allow her to play unless her levels are right. Not being able to maintain your insulin level resulting in sitting on the bench can only add frustration.

Playing for Baylor and it's high expectations are tremendous pressure for a freshman! We have the mentality of not wanting a conference championship, but EXPECTING to win it. We are not satisfied with making the NCAA tourney or even the Sweet 16. We expect to advance further. Maybe that's the difference between our programs.

As a 35 year insulin dependent diabetic that wears a insulin pump I can attest to diabetes perhaps being a factor in Lauren's aggression and anger. If one's blood sugar (BS) gets low enough it is very normal for a diabetic to manifest anger, aggression and poor decision making.

What is low enough to trigger this reaction varies immensely from individual to individual. In most instances the BS levels should be manageable as there are many athletes on the college and professional level that are diabetic and control their BS levels adequately. Think of Mark Andrews TE OU, Scott Verplank OSU professional golfer or Jay Cutler QB Chicago Bears.

Competing athletically can lowers BS in a diabetic very rapidly. I have experienced a pronounced drop in BS of 100 points in 15 minutes multiple times. Perhaps Lauren has that same tendency. However, if that is the case they need to get her to the bench and get her BS elevated ASAP. That is on Lauren and the trainer. And with Lauren naturally wanting to compete the trainer needs to probably take the lead as low BS normally leads to poor decision making on diabetic's part.

Baylor goes down, Jones tries to slap the ball out of Williams hand at the end, and Davis wouldn't stop to let Vick talk to her... talk about being petty sore losers!

Does Mark Andrews wear an insulin pump? I've heard them say that they check his sugar every quarter but I've never heard them say if he wears a pump or not.

McGowan is light years ahead of Mulkey... id take both at OU...
