Let's assume that Lauren is your daughter. Forget that you went to OU. I think her mother went to SMU?
You live about eighty miles from Baylor, which is nice if you want to see the games. But, you have seen that two different players on two different national title teams indicated that they were not given respect (or told the truth, or whatever) by Mulkey and/or Baylor. Both now harbor some bitterness. You also have a national press that has written about Baylor in a rather negative way. Is this where you want your daughter to go? Do you trust Mulkey--or Baylor?
I can see someone who has no alternatives, or who has no knowledge of the history of Mulkey going to Baylor. Lauren has alternatives. Good alternatives.
If winning a national title or two is all she wants, Geno is the best in the nation at that. He's won titles with a lot of different players. He seems to be a good man, and his players seem to respect him, long after they have gone.
Notre Dame is a fine institution, and Coach McGraw is an excellent coach who beat Geno three times in a row. If you want a good academic reputation, it has one. Usually, it will be in the vicinity of a national title.
I am curious, however. You have been on two U16 teams with two OU players, none from Baylor. You watched Nancy Mulkey completely destroy two teams in the State Tournament, one of which beat you rather badly. Without Nancy, they weren't doing well. But, she made them into a very dominant team. You don't see how Lauren could operate on a team that had Nancy Mulkey in the middle?
Then, there is that statement that you wished to help a program get to where it had not been. Unless you are serious about Louisville (please tell me that this is a joke), the others have won it all.
I can see Lauren at Notre Dame or UConn. I must admit that I question the decision that anyone makes to play for Mulkey.
