OU has a huge advantage over other Big 12 programs in football in the same regard --- 7 time national champs, 5 Heismans, 140+ All-Americans, 30+ conference championships... etc etc. We built a lot of that before the NCAA allowed more than a single game per season to be televised, before they allowed you to attend back-to-back bowl games in consecutive seasons, before the era of juniors declaring for the NFL draft to "get paid."
