Lexy Keys Transfers to OU

I wonder if the coach knows about someone transferring. 1 scholarship is available. I am happy OU got Keys. So many other great HS and players in the portal.

I believe now that we have Keys, there are zero spots open, unless someone transfers out and just hasn't announced it??

I kind of hope some of our benchers do, so we can get more talent, especially at the forward/center position...but where would they go?

You are right with Keys we have 15 scholarship players: Liz Scott, Tucker, Vann, Tot, Joens, Velhurst, Keys, Kelbie, Svoboda, Culliton, Johnson, Reyna Scott, Cooper, Williams, Allen.

I did notice that Jennie recently on Twitter started following Keys plus Lauren Ware and Lauren Betts…so for portal recruiting it appears to be a really good big or we are done.

I wonder if the OSU coach thinks we inherited her?

LOL! I am the one who posted about her saying her program was different than Jennie’s because Jenny inherited her team while she had to build hers. I immediately thought KM part Deux!

She does seem to have had a large turnover since she arrived in Stillwater.

LOL. She's reminds me of Mulkey in more ways than one.

Scrybe if that is the case we need to hope big time that Jacie Hoyt is no where near as successful as Kim Mulkey who did not win her first conference championship until her 5th season at Baylor. As we need to remember Sherri Coale won 9 conference and Big 12 tournament championships in Mulkey's first 10 years in Waco while Mulkey won only 3. But the pendulum swung drastically in Mulkey's favor starting in 2011 through 2021 with Kim winning 20 and OU 0.

If she does turn out to be as good as Mulkey she will be in our rear view mirror. The new B12 can deal with her. We will have our hands full with the real KM.

Spock, as a basketball coach, Mulkey is great. As a human being, she's an embarrassment.

Most ADs would hire her as their WBB in a minute if she showed interest in their school as would I based upon what we know about her today. Most coaches on occasion do things that would be what the AD would think is ideal but to me KM's positives infinitely outweigh any negatives she has. And she has a few.

For certain she does not sleep around, get drunk publicly and openly curse when talking with the media like Barry Switzer did as head football coach not to mention a few other no-nos on Barry's list. Her image relative to Barry's is that of a saint relatively speaking despite not being nearly as likeable. Not JMHO.

Win at all costs ADs would take her in a heartbeat. Many ADs wouldn't want to put up with her temper tantrums on the sidelines when things don't go her way. Based on how she acts on the sidelines, I can't imagine how she acts when the cameras aren't rolling. I'm sure she'll have a long successful career at LSU. She and the LSU fans are made for each other. And if you don't know what that means, ask anyone who encountered LSU fans at the Sugar Bowl game when OU played them.

I know I was at the Sugar Bowl for the loss to LSU and their fans are far and away the worst I have been exposed to in following the Sooners on the road since 1962 and a multitude of road games since.

But Mulkey fans like Switzer fans will always be 10/1 to 20/1 pro Kim and pro Barry.

The comparison of her to Barry doesn't work for me. I don't think I ever saw Barry chastise an opposing coach or player for making an ill-advised play in a blow-out game. And I've never heard him be anything but supportive of his former players, even those who were supreme knuckleheads.

Both Barry and Kim have their +s and their -s the value which are different in each persons eyes. Your concerns may be of no concern to me and vice versus. Different strokes for different folks. To you chastising an opposing coach or player is an important issue. To many many others sleeping with a fellow coaches wife is much more unforgiveable sin just as driving under the influence and Barry list goes on and on. But for certain neither of them are a Tom Izzo, Billy Donovan or Sherri Coale.

KM might have to search long and hard to find a fellow coach's spouse willing to sleep with her. So, there's that.
