Lindy Watters

We do need better bigs and a PG but Waters is a guard that could come in and be a starter or get plenty of minutes off the bench.

How do you figure?

We are loaded at that spot for the next several years with 4 quality wings. I could see the need for a 3 point specialist though as a 10 or 11th rotation man.

Over Lattin. I saw both played last year and Solomon looked better.

Like, BigTime said, no chance. And I'm pretty sure everyone here saw both play last year. But let's look at the numbers. Category leaders are in bold.

Mitchell (per 40 minutes):
4.4 ppg 9.9 rbg 1.3 apg 1.3 spg 2.2 bpg 1.8 TOpg 8.2 fouls per game
Lattin (per 40 minutes):
6.7 ppg 10.8 rpg 0.9 apg 1.2 spg 3.1 bpg 1.4 TOpg 6.7 fouls per game

So Lattin scores more, rebounds better, blocks better, steals are a wash, fouls and turns the ball over less than Solomon. Now if you want a player who does positive basketball things less than Lattin, than yeah, Solomon is your guy.

Please tell me you're not serious! :facepalm

I watched him play last night...he looked good. I like his game but a post playing for Ford is a waste of talent. But honestly, Lattin is just as good.

And as for Lindy, I'm sure he will be available down the line anyways if we want another shot at him b/c Ford is not lasting past this season. He continues to play his 4 guard lineups with SF's in the 4 position. Its going to be a long season for the cowboys. This might be his worst team in his tenure there.

Good for you. Glad we're on the same page now!

I agree on both counts about Ford and OSU. If he coaches the team he's got now to a respectable finish, I might change my mind about his ability to do more than recruit. I see a bottom half Big 12 finish in the Pokes future this season.

Brady Manek is miles better than Waters. Not room at OU for both.

That's a huge statement to make on both ends. Whether you are right or not on whose better between the 2, there's always room for them both. If we have a scholarship available, there's room. Kansas, duke, msu, Kentucky and so on have nothing but 4 and 5 star players at all their positions and they usually fill up all scholarships and they never say they don't have room for them both. The better player plays and the other one doesn't. Or they both play and they beat out the guys who are already here. Or neither of them play because they can't beat out the guys already here.

Here's a timeline of the Waters recruitment from all I've pieced together.

1. We don't recruit Trey very hard.
2. Lindy, Jr. gets a little miffed.
3. We start recruiting Trey.
4. We offer Trey.
5. Trey does not commit.
6. Kameron McGusty commits to OU.
7. We stop recruiting Trey.
8. Lindy, Jr. declares that Trey will re-classify to 2017 and go to Brewster Prep.
9. Trey takes a cell phone pick mocking the Norman North gun threats.
10. Trey gets suspended for a year from Norman North.
11. Trey is transferred to Sunnyside Daycare.
12. Wait a minute, that was in Toy Story 3.
13. Trey is transferred to Sunshine Academy in Kansas.
14. Trey supposedly RE-RE-classifies to the class of 2016.
15. Brady Manek commits to OU.
16. Trey commits to O-State.

He has a flair for the dramatic. Will fit in great with Travis Ford and can probably star in his next music video.
