I have been predicting a lineup of WW, Cade Crock, Orlando and Tiny for months. Ok -- , after watching the game, I think I was wrong.
I now think Tommy, WW, Crock, Tiny and Ryan will start. By years end, either Orlando or Drew will replace Ryan. I had seen Tiny play a few times, but really hadn't seen the others. Although the competition was poor, I liked the look of all of our freshmen. TMG was a lot better than I anticipated.
Point: Willie and TMG = better and deeper than last year.
Wing: Willie, Crock, Cade, Ray and Steven = better and deeper than last year.
Post: Tiny, Drew, Orlando and Ryan = competitive with anyone and deeper than last year.
Obviously, none of the post players will be Blake this year, but I don't think our overall production will go down too much.
Hard to say just how good the new kids will be yet, the competition was just not good enough to know. Plus, no matter how talented, freshmen just always are inconsistent.
I predict 2 or 3 in conference, a 3-5 seed and a win or two in the tournament.
