Imagine my surprise that "They Call Him Flopper" made the list (No. 15). Danny Ainge was also a no-brainer. He was the quintessential BYU whiner when he played there.

I'm kind of surprised that Dennis Rodman and Marshall Henderson didn't make the cut. Rodman was a world-champion prick at SEOSU. Henderson was a real piece of work at both Utah and Ole Miss.

If I had to add a few that were probably hated intensely by OU fans, I'd have to list Mark Turgeon, Jason Sutherland, Curtis Redding (before he left K-State after two mercurial years), Darnell Valentine, Gabe Muoneke, Marcus Smart of course, not to mention Britney Griner and Andrea Riley on the women's side. And we can't forget about toxic sideline folks like Bobby Knight, Kim "Skeletor" Mulkey, Larry Brown and Lute Olson (okay, he wasn't obnoxious like the first two, but he was still annoying in his smugness).

Marcus Smart, Byron Eaton, Gabe Muoneke, Jason Sutherland, Brian Boddicker, and that Luke Axel guy who played for both Kansas and Texas.

reddick, smart, and that big dumb white guy that played for texas a decade or so ago.

There's no doubt that Smart deserves some of the enmity that fans feel toward him, but to a great extent, the hard feelings hold toward him are due to the relentless, over-the-top hype he received.

Nobody knew who Rodman was. Even people in Oklahoma are not particularly familiar with SEOSU. I am quite sure the average person on the east coast couldn't name that school for $100.

That is def more of a national list.

For me:

Oliver Miller - hw always talked trash to our players (espececially Sallier)

LJ - I remember him telling Sketter than even know we won, he would be in the NBA next year and Skeeter would be in the CBA.

Jason Sutherland, Russ Grimm, and the rest of that 96/97/98 Mizzou squad.

Jacque Vaughn and basically every player to ever play at KU.

Chris Mihm or Boddicker? it has to be the latter because Mihm was pretty much a robot on the floor. He didn't do much to incite the opposing fans.

Wasn't that Brian Boddicker on Texas bench last night? I told my son - I that that big white UT coach, but I could not remember his name

I couldn't get the Lost Lettermen site to pop up but I wonder if they went back far enough to get two old Dukies and Tarheels who instigated a bunch of fights - Art Heyman at Duke and Larry Brown at N.C. It was at a time when you could only get one or two National TV games a week but I remember Heyman always getting in fights, even going into the stands.

The writers probably don't stretch back that far. Both Brown and Heyman were New Yorkers who were ridden unmercifully by fans throughout the South. Most likely deserved.

Could have been Buckman as well. I didn't care for Douchus Bagbay at UT either. Who did Muoneke punch in the gut?
