LOIs

I thought Harden would start. You just never know.

This class is fascinating. I don't know that it has a replacement for Griffin. Pierre-Louis looks like someone that I would rather have at a power forward position. She can move. But, that may be the future of centers.

Sherri got a commitment from Williams before she went after Edwards? Really. Now that I have seen Edwards, that fact alone makes me want to see LaNesia.

Ortiz? I won't even discuss her. It would be too optimistic.

Penzo. I find this kid fascinating. She played on the U16 team for Puerto Rico---at 14? Had about the same averages that she had at 16. I still remember that the one reporter had superlatives about only one player, Penzo.

I believe Ortiz will start from day one. If we have another freshman who might start, I would point to Pierre-Louis.

Have you seen the body on that young woman? With her athleticism, it screams "dominant post player".

I'm quite relieved that she's signed. Sherri has a very impressive class arriving next year.

I have not read anything that indicates Pierre-Louis can shoot from outside which makes me think that Sherri only brought her to Norman to be a center. From what little I've seen, I agree with YCN, there is plenty to be optimistic about.

She was 8 of 16 from three point range last year. She also seems to shoot well from mid-range. She seems to be able to shoot from anywhere.

I have to agree with both... I also think Gabbi could be a high school All American

I see
Ortiz
Little
Campbell
Knornet
Pierre-Louis as our starting 5 next year

is it me or does Williams look a little like Campbell?

It certainly looks like a terrific class! Congrats to Sherri and Staff for bringing them in.

She also shot 81% from the field with over 20 points and 12 rebounds per game.

She's a player.

We might need to start a new future Sooner thread
Pierre Louis had 27 points 15 board and 5 blocks in a 2point win to start her season
she got to the line 19times and knocked down 11 of them

Maddie Maddie Maddie!

If Maddie is healthy, it will be difficult to keep her out of the lineup. Anyone who beats out Kay Kay will have to be very, very good---as a freshman. Kay Kay may be All-Big Twelve quality by the end of this year, much less next year.

I completely agree. Sherri loves experience over raw talent. But she may be invaluable off the bench while learning the B12 ropes.

Always prefaced by my fear of injury to these magnificently talented gals.

I've been a huge KayKay fan from the start. She will be pushing to ba AllAmerican before it's over.

I forgot about kayKay. I didn't put Manning in the starting line up because she will be coming off 2 ACLs, I can't her starting right away. Little will be a very good player for the sooner, can't see her not starting next season.

When you add Peyton Little with the new girls coming in next year, that makes a really promising group. :woot

Yep, for sure! I think you have 2 strong candidates for All-Conference, at least, in Peyton and Gabrielle. Like Edwards and Carter this year, I think Williams and Penzo are going to be pleasant surprises. Pierre-Louis will be a strong post.

I have to laugh now that recruiting is done for the fall because of all the superlatives thrown at our signees and Sherri and her staff and their recruiting prowess. What makes me laugh is that on this site, and others as well as sports talk radio There was much wailing and gnashing of teeth over the percieved recruiting shortcomings. I say now, what I said then,I trust Sherri and her staff in coaching and recruiting,.I think the fact that Sherri is cloding in on 400 career wins(381 at the start of the season) and has almost as many NCAA tourney wins(24) as the two winningest OU men's coaches( Tubbs and Sampson combined-26). Coale is the best coach in OU basketball history PERIOD.
