Keith Smart got into it with DeMarcus Cousins on the bench during a 2nd quarter t/o over his defensive effort (or lack thereof).

so, when the Kings came out after halftime Smart left Cousins in the locker room and played the 2nd half without him. The Kings actually played better.

Cousins is exactly who most thought he would be, a very talented kid, with a terrible attitude. In fact, his attitude is probably going to shorten his NBA career. I totally bombed on it because I said he would be an instant star and the best player drafted that year.

I watched the other night, and there was a sequence where he got mad at Tyreke. They had 2 or 3 straight possessions where they ran after a rebound, and Cousins wanted them to slow the ball down. Smart called time out, and as they were walking to the sidelines, Cousins was obviously cussing Evans out.

One of the other guys put his arm around Cousins and tried to calm him, and Cousins shoved the guy. Assistant coaches tried to calm him, and they got the same treatment. The next 3 or 4 plays, he didn't attempt to defend, and he didn't attempt to rebound. He was pouting......

The Analyst calling the game was a local guy & he said something to the extent of this is what we see daily from Cousins. He starts fights in the locker room and at practices, he cusses coaches and management, and he is just a cancerous, immature young man, who shows no signs of changing....

Alot of guys come into the league immature, like Kobe was, Iverson, and others, but the difference is you never heard people questioning their desire to win, or to get better. Not sure Cousins cares about anything but his numbers, and getting his way.....

I laughed for awhile about Smart just leaving his behind in the locker room.

It was nice to see the Kings band together and actually start playing much better with him gone. Not that I was rooting for them or anything ... but the Clips were destroying them and they actually came back and made a game of it.

Sacramento is a death zone. Evans or Cousins is probably going to be a steal for somebody and the other one will be a total bust. No way of knowing which is which.

This is exactly why I gave Cousins the benefit of the doubt when he was drafted.

I heard about his antics with Smart, and was thinking, "When is the last time a guy was left in the locker room in the 2nd half?" Cousins probably needs to check himself into a mental clinic. Seriously.

My money is on Evans panning out. But right now, give me neither.

Cousins has been suspended indefinitely by the team. I hear the players voted to leave him there.

I agree 100%. He has some problems. Just looking at his expression when he was melting down, told me he probably has an uncontrollable Explosive Reactionary Disorder. He couldn't help himself and it was obvious.

Well crap. That is my final punishment for putting him as my starting PF on my fantasy team......

Hahaha, ouch. During the draft I was so pissed that I didn't get him (he got selected right before it was my turn). In retrospect I got pretty lucky.

Dallas sure could use a talent like Cousins. Guy still has huge upside IMO, and I think a change of scenary would be great for him and I think Carlisle is a coach he would respect. If he's available, I hope the Mavs make a push to grab him.

The Thunder had a million draft picks the year Cousins came out and I really wanted us to trade up and get him. We ended up trading up to get the dumpster fire that is Cole Aldrich instead. I think he would have had a chance to do well in OKC, as at least at Kentucky he seemed to do okay when he was winning. Being frustrated in the losing environment of Sacramento was never going to work, though.
