If only they could have somehow snuck that fraud into our game undefeated.

Looks like we are pulling hard for a UGA SEC Championship and USC victory over Oregon. Of course knowing Stoops Baylor will beat us tomorrow night.

Congrats to Iowa State becoming bowl eligible. We can slot them ahead of A&M and Missouri in bowl selections.

Unfortunately our hopes of reaching the BCS title game just took a BIG hit. Another side effect of this is that if we lose in Bedlam we are guaranteed to not be selected as a BCS at large. No way a 1 loss OSU and a 2 loss OU both go to BCS bowl games. Not that I would want to go to a BCS bowl after losing to OSU, but the point remains.

i agree with you the only time for us to make it if BAMA or Oregon loose then we can go in

I actually feel pretty bad for OSU fans. this was a really bad day for them. obviously the football game is minor comparedbtonthe accident but it just makes that much more difficult.

as someone that really enjoys to give OSU a lot of grief, i dont think it is appropriate today

I don't think that second part is true at all.
There are still 10 BCS spots...
2 SEC
2 PAC-10
1 Big 10
1 Big East
1 ACC
1 Non-AQ
2 Big 12

SEC and PAC were already getting 2, so not having B12 in the championship wouldn't change anything.

kinda the wrong day to poke fun at OSU......

Even if that tragedy had not occurred, we're not in any position to poke fun at them. All it means is that two teams who BOTH lost one game as four-touchdown favorites will meet for the conference championship.

How is their loss to ISU any more embarrassing then ours to TTech? Since OSU beat TTech 66-7, and won their first 10 games of the season in no worse than the second best conference, I'd say they're hardly a "fraud."

They are no more a fraud than we are. They got caught looking ahead and not thinking they could be beat. Then got pimp slapped by a team that did not have near the talent. Just like we did. Now they get two weeks to stew in their own juice and think about beating us, guess we will see how that works out for both teams.

I see, so the team that's never won anything and should have notched their 3rd loss of the season last night is equal to the 7 time Big XII champ.

OSU was always a fraud. We were going to beat them by 4 TDs if they played us undefeated. They are a carbon copy of KSU. They don't have OU, LSU, Alabama, etc talent. If they beat us this year it will be no different than 2001. It would be a fluke with Stoops laying another egg.

I'm sorry, but unless you can show me where you said that before they lost, you are full of crap. No way we were going to blow OSU out without Broyles and Whaley. Not a chance.

I'm cautiously optimistic that we beat Baylor without our best WR and best RB on the road. Think we change some things up on offense, maybe even slow things down a little with Finch and Millard doing more running going forward.

I'm not worried about any injuries on offense other than QB. Our problems have always been caused by injuries on defense or to a veteran QB. As long as the defense gets healthy we will win in blow outs in our last 3 games. Our talent level is head and shoulders above Baylor, ISU and OSU. None of them have a defensive players who would make our 2 deep.

You're absolutely right, and I'm sure that, if one had spent time on the OSU boards after our loss to Tech, one would have found no threads celebrating our defeat.

Please. It's college sports, and we're talking about a fanbase that, as long as I've been alive (and that's a long time), has often gotten more excited about our losses than about their own wins.

This idea that we can't poke a little fun at the aggies because we lost to Tech is laughable. Razzing between rivals happens all the time, and there's nothing wrong with that. What, we have to be undefeated or we're not allowed to enjoy an oswho loss?

I have felt oswho was overrated this season. Their defense is weak. They've done a nice on getting turnovers, but without those in their favor, they've not shown they can stop decent offenses.

Have they had a strong season? Sure, they and their 28-year-old QB have had a terrific season. But they won't be playing for their first national title, and that's fine by me. Hopefully, they won't make the first BCS bowl game, either, if our Sooners can take care of business in Stillwater.

Talent alone doesn't win games. And OSU has a few defenders that would definitely make our two deep, and maybe start. Our defense is VASTLY overrated. Too hit and miss.

For what it's worth, though, I actually really do like Millard and semi-root for OU because of that (although I also tend to root for anything that causes a BCS mess, so this game was good for that, too). I went to high school with Millard's older brother and saw him play in high school several times (mostly basketball, though). I appreciated the way he went about the recruiting process even though he ultimately left Columbia (don't really blame him; he plays a position MU didn't even use at the time and very rarely uses now).

Iowa State jumping MU would be nothing new. It happened last year, as well, and was one of the things MU wanted changed in the Big 12.

In all honesty, Skyvue, you make a good point. I was looking at things from a "logical" perspective (I'm analytical to a fault) rather than a "fan talking a little harmless trash about his rival" perspective. I thought Boca's comments were way off, albeit harmless if it hadn't been for the timing of the tragedy.

With that said, Boca mentioned that no one on OSU could make OU's two-deep defense? After last night, I'm wondering how many OU defensive starters could make Alabama's two-deep defense. Maybe four? I honestly didn't think we'd lose the game, but have been wary of our defense all year long. I've concluded this is our worst defensive team since 1997. Yeah, Blake's last year had a better defense than this team, though it had nothing to do with him. If you remember, we had a pretty good d-coordinator in '98.
