Friday morning, March 22 2012, K-State lost its greatest fan, Shwan “Fatty” Alkhatib. He was in New York City taking care of his brother, Weesam Alkhatib who is undergoing cancer treatment. His family has asked in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Shwan “Fatty” Alkhatib Memorial Fund. The funds will go directly to the ongoing treatment of Weesam Alkhatib, peritoneal mesothelioma cancer research, and a memorial project to honor Shwan's legacy.

Just saw this- terrible news. RIP fatty. What a great temperament and spirit he had about him. That was a loyal guy- loyal to KSU and a great defender of the big12.
