MBB Transfer Portal Thread: Moser Year 4

If I was Ole Miss, I would take Small over Pedulla. Small is a game changer, I wanted him last year over McCollum.
You’re 100 percent right. Not even close. I’m sure they know that from a coaching standpoint too.

Meanwhile Texas has added:
-a PG who averaged 11 ppg last year on the NIT runner up team
- a CG in Pope who averaged 17 ppg
- a SG who averaged 16 ppg in the SEC last year
- a PF who averaged 13 ppg on the NIT runner up team
Do y’all want some real intel on Garrison and his Texas visit? I’d do, I got some first hand stuff. Not from the Oklahoma high school rumor mill.

Just saw a tweet from the WSU beat guy noting that they are returning 5 rotation players and 7 overall from their roster, unless they have late portal entries. Meanwhile, we are a P5 team returning two rotational guys.

OSU’s coach has been on the job for two weeks and already has as many portal commits as OU.

It’s not as hard as our staff is making it look
Dude stop. It’s the LNC. Or it’s the comittee. Oh no it’s NIL. Wait wait wait it’s the fan support.

Lol reaching deep

My opinion is if you want to be a big football program, it will be at the expense of every other program (especially non-revenue). In the longer term, perhaps programs can be elite in football and basketball but I would imagine that that would be at the expense of all non-rev sports. Yes, I understand that football and basketball would have to split from the ncaa in that scenario, which is just a matter of time in my opinion.
This has been my sentiment, as well. But I then just watched Alabama make the CFP in football and the Final Four in basketball. Bama plays in a big old barn (bigger and older than our arena) but has a superior basketball coach that they pay well. It remains to be seen if they sustain what they have in hoops, but I trust Nate Oats to keep them at or near the top.

It's harder but still possible to be great in both revenue sports. Our AD has chosen to invest in certain non-revenue sports because of their record of national success.

This stuff makes it hard to commit my time to going to every home game. School loyalty cant be enough. It would be nice to have another reason. A different free agent every year doesnt push the needle. If this happened in pro sports, i wouldnt follow any pro sports... and i hate posting that negative stuff.
