Feels kind of gross to be paying a big K to a poke.. but also, this is my dream for ou to turn osu into our juco. (I don't care about any sports but bball and football, but weve taken osu's best softball pitcher, best girls basketball player, hopefully their best mens basketball players now.. we should have taken ollie gordon too bc why not).

Garrison isn’t make or break right now he is more of a defensive guy than anything so if we don’t get him oh well get the next guy.

He would arguably be our best Center of the past 10 years though. That's the crazy part in all this. Lattin was all defense too, but he wasn't Garrison's height nor build. Garrison also averaged 7.5 ppg and 5.5 rebounds in 22 minutes as a Freshmen. Plenty of room for growth as a Center there.

The staff has put in a lot of effort and it also means we would have beaten out some big time programs for him. It would be a really big win for an in-state kid.

True, but building some tangible recruiting momentum would be nice.

It would also make it easier to sell said scorer on coming to OU.
 
Is Arkansas still recruiting Garrison? If so OU chances are slim to none, hogs starting to get big time backing from the rich and famous.
I don't keep up with recruiting much so not even sure if Arkansas even wants Garrison now

I mean, it is ballsy, but OU may have all their eggs into Garrison. We have signed 3 budget spots so far...this may be the "swing for the fences and match what we can" sort of deal.
