High Point G Duke Miles​

Intel: Former High Point guard Duke Miles has becoming a target for many high major programs recently.

Auburn is definitely a team to watch for the Montgomery native. I’m also told he’s visiting Oklahoma today (May 2nd).

Miles averaged 17.5 points per game this season.

I lean towards Miles....but I want to see if the stats check out (with my eyeballs) and A) you're a better data man than myself B) I'm lazy af.

I think Miles is better. He's a better shooter and much less turnovers but not as many assists. Sports-reference advanced stats mostly prefer Miles, WS 5.1 to 3.0, PER 23.8 to 18.1, and Rtg 19.0 to -.8. Pedulla leads slightly on BPM 4.4 to 4.2. EvanMiya prefers Pedulla, BPR 5.1 to 3.7 and Adj Team Eff Margin 19.1 to 14.0

On my spreadsheet, Miles is better than Pedulla and very similar to Pegues, which ironically has already committed to Auburn.

(19-15) Va Tech finished ranked 58th in KenPom. 37th ranked offense, 92nd ranked defense. (50th SOS)
 
So there’s a good chance that Auburn will close on a high profile transfer from their home state? That must be nice…

Well let me see then, I will have to break this out differently, bc I came up with a stats color chart and a very crude weighted score (SUPER CRUDE I shouldnt even mention it, but I am)

What is the WIMJ/TE4T dumb dumb combo score? (probably should add an assist weight to the PG, but oh well - crude)

He and Kaden Cooper were both true freshmen this year and both rated similarly out of HS. Kaden played 67 minutes and Ames played 638 minutes. Draw your own conclusions from that.
