That sound you hear is Wichita and WT sweating.
Why? When have you guys ever been right about the direction of the program? You think a couple social media follows and visits mean that all is right? I haven’t seen the board this fired up since we had Pedulla and Garrison locked up four weekends ago.

I don't recall a single poster saying we had anyone locked up. Did some posters feel at times that it was looking good for OU? Did some fans dare to allow themselves to be hopeful? Yes. But if anyone said we had them locked up, they were outliers. And if you'll just name them, perhaps we can get them to don a hair shirt and ask for forgiveness, which is generally what you seem to be looking for in calling out people for the past sins of optimism.

That's actually the first thing i look at f or guards and if it is sub-33.3% i am usually not that thrilled with the player..
Totally fair, then you have guys who just get better in the right situation bc they aren't the highest usage guys or whatever. (Not the case for Soares)

ipso facto... Rivaldo Soares.

2022 - 26.8%
2023 - 25.3%
2024 - 39.2%

It's crazy, but it happens. Probably more the exception than the rule, or maybe it's that 5-out motion offense that allows some players to just "get it".

He shot better than McCollum in conference play on far fewer volume. And based on the portal so far he’ll be surrounded by much better shooting. An initiator who can finish at the basket, make FT, and kick out to elite catch and shoot wings would be great (in theory)

And even he was 23.5% non conference. He just went 51.1% in Big 12 play. Got super hot.

So, I decided to apply the now "patent-pending" TE4T rating scale to OU's roster with our newest editions + Miles/Richmond:

I feel like I need to add a penalty for lower competition. Like a .9 or .95 multiplier. Thoughts? (Goodine shouldn't be that high, I mean - probably should settle around Oweh-ish)

Except I’m sure all the BV fans will blame it on NIL and cry poor when we don’t land Williams tomorrow. People are already starting with that excuse on social media. Truly, it feels like any time a school misses on a recruit now, they immediately play the NIL card.
I guess we'll never know. Now take whatever spare change is left and give it to Porter
