I wouldn’t even say edge Richmond over Uzan. It ain’t close

Alright, so looking into @notaburner 's comment regarding a potential Power 6 visitor, and triangulating the mentions on page 331 with the spreadsheet, removing committed players, and ignoring @StoopsBros incorrect astrological signs and love for Dai Dai (jk jk)...

We have the stats of the available Power 6 bigs compared to Godwin:

(One thing to note, Sean Stewart's defensive rating...*drool*)

*This is just a really wild guess and the Power 6 big could be from off the spreadsheet...viewer discretion is advised*

I don’t think anyone on this board disliked Oweh’s game over the last two months more than I did, but you could pull up a thousand transfer portal rankings and probably not find a single one listing Goodine ahead of him. It’s certainly feasible that he could play/fit better than Oweh did, but the talent edge is clearly with Oweh.

No one is questioning Oweh's talent/athleticism. Goodine isn't near as athletic as Oweh, but is probably a better "basketball player". Give me a guy who can knock down 46% of his 3's any day. Although we won't be seeing some of the freakish blocks/dunks that Oweh could do, you're going to see more point production out of Goodine I believe.

I guess it all comes down to if you believe Oweh is actually a 38% 3 point shooter. If you do, and can pair that with his athletic ability defensively, then he is an elite 3 and D guy that any team in the country should want. I did want him to stay, but I would hammer the under for next year's percentage if he has any type of volume.

Personally, I'm trending more toward valuing 3 pt volume over percentage. Obviously both matter, but I'd much rather have a guy that shoots 5 3s a game at 34% than somebody who shoots 1.5 at 40%. If their numbers aren't great but their coach keeps letting them fire away, then I think that's a good indication the guy can shoot. It's also reasonable to assume that high volume shooters are typically facing tougher defense than the player that shoots 1 a game.

Austin Reaves at OU is a perfect example. He shot about 5 3s a game at under 30% for his OU career. He could obviously shoot, which is why it was so frustrating they weren't going in. College basketball struggles from small sample size even when looking at entire seasons. Austin Reaves shot 449 3s in his entire college career. He shot 420 this past NBA seasons alone.

Hands down a better shooter....and its not close. If you want him to spot up and stretch the floor he is absolutely an upgrade.....defensively....probably not. LOL
