McDonalds AA Nominees

I believe anyone can be nominated, just a matter of the coach submitting your name. I think we'll see 2 from Baylor in this game 2 from OU 1 or 2 from Texas deepening on Sutton, and 1 from TCU the Big 12 could have a lot of freshman talent next year...

I think Nancy makes it for sure. I doubt Chelsea does but it would be great if she does.

I am beginning to doubt the significance of being a McDonald's AA. To me, it is a bit like any talent competition. Just too difficult to judge. Nothing equal to compare. NOT saying that there aren't some really good players who make the final cut, but am sure some just as good who are not nominated. Then there is the transition from high school to college, similar to the transition from college to pros. Transition is not always positive because of so many factors.

Of course, sure I am in the minority regarding this opinion.

What in the world are you talking about?

I'm saying there could be 4 girls from the state of Texas to make McDonald's all American....but looking back i think it will be 5. In 2014 there were 4 girls from Texas in the game.

That's all i was saying

Doubt Dungee makes it....Nancy will definitely make it

It seems to me that over the years our best players were McDonalds AA. Also, just about every one of Geno's players played in the McD game.

Danielle and Whitney are our most recent stars, and neither made it.

Aaryn Was a good player as well, you just never no, if anyone has noticed it's really hard to make the final four without a McDonald's All American on the roster. But I agree everyone who makes the team doesn't have success in college. But I'll say the girls we've had who made the game other then Abi have been decent...

It wouldn't shock me if Dungee made the game, I think most of you are basing that off her high school ranking, but every kid ranked in the top 25 won't make the team, some of the kids ranked in the Top 15 won't make it... ESPN seems to like Dungee, she's had successful summers, USA gold, AAU championship, High school state champion, Dungee is a proven winner.

Aaryn was a McD AA. I thought Abi was good (not great) her senior year but she didn't get much playing time when Courtney was here.

We had 4 McD players, correct? And besides Courtney, did one make an All-American team? Was Ashley and Abi two of our best players over the last ten years? Was Amanda? I would say maybe on AT. I don't know, could be wrong.

True about Geno's players. I believe that there is just as much talent out there that goes unnoticed, so they don't get to the elite programs; however, if they had, they would have done just as well.

We went to our last final four with only one player named to an all-american team, Danielle, and she wasn't first team. The 2 McD AA players did not make any All-American team that year, did they? Not sure. I would think it would be more relevant how many of your players stood out in college rather than high school. Aaryn was second team or honorable mention on some all-american team and not a McDonald'sAA.

Geno is not going to have to go find players. He will get the MCD AA and he will improve them and put a great team together. Just saying if the knowledge about all players was out there, that some kids would be playing Div 1 ball and winning championships that were not MCD AA with the right coaching staff and support.

The talent is not limited to these 100 nominees nor the ones who actually make it.

Usually you can count the top 12 - 14 kids for sure.....after that you count for what is needed

Maybe at one time but you have to remember that Mcdonlds is something you get for a full 4 years body of work in high school, I've seen players ranked 100 get in the game, I don't even think Abi was ranked in the top 100 and made it in... You've had players like Aylssa Thomas who played at Maryland ranked number 7 in the 2010 class and she didn't make the game.
