McDonald's All-American game

Marina Mabrey (Notre Dame) and Te'a Cooper (Tennessee) were the MVPs. Cooper had points. But, she also had a lot of turnovers (9).

Everyone was good. I didn't see anyone that looked like an All-American as a freshman type. Some development of a lot of skills needed.

Overall:

1. Mediocre field goal shooting.
2. Mediocre 3-pt shooting (especially the west - 25%)
3. Mediocre free throw shooting.
4. Way too many turnovers.

I have to disagree, Durr(UOL), Collier(UCONN) will both be future all Americans... Watts (UNC) also looked good. Both the baylor post are pretty big Mompremier looked better then Brown, Mompremier can run the floor well and she has a little handle as well... Brown will need to work on her conditioning, I won't be shocked to see Mulkey go big with both girls and Davis at times...

That would be a good matchup with the 2 Texas bigs in at the same time. That was a problem for us in the Big-12 tournament.

Then, you don't disagree. You indicate future All-Americans. I declared that they were not there yet.

Durr has one advantage in that Louisville needs a point guard. But, she is nowhere near the best point guard in the class. Salvadores made her look silly: better on offense and defense. I've seen Durr three times, and she has yet to be the best guard on the court.

Collier is the girl who played with Treece. I'm glad that Geno thinks that highly of her. Samuelson, I have also seen three times, and she has yet to show why she is that highly-rated. But, UConn graduates their three-point star.

I didn't see one that will be in the top five at their position as freshmen.

The Texas bigs might have the edge this fall because of experience. I still agree with you, it will be fun to watch those inside battles.

Between Mulkey and Dungee OU should/will have 2 players in the game next year... If we can add Cox and or Holmes then that would give us 3 or 4 players. With Llanusa that is another top 10 ranked player and she should also be a McDonald's All American in 2017... Recruiting is definitely back on the right track...

I expect OU to maybe have a bit of a down year... 2 or 3 seniors, only EJ and Penzo coming in, there's a pretty good chance well be in 3rd place in the big 12 and could be picked 3rd in the pre-season... TCU and WVA are the other teams that could battle OU for a top spot in conference.

If we can get back to consistently signing top 10 classes, it will certainly improve this program. Top 5 classes would completely take us to another level where another final four would be within reach.
