McNeace almost sounds like a modern-day Al Beal, in terms of inexperience and body type. Al was 6-9, 190 coming out of high school in 1976 and had only played two years of organized basketball when he got to OU. But he turned out pretty well, although he never probably weighed more than 215 at OU.
The coaches think he has tremendous upside. He is athletically able to do things that nobody else on the team can do at this time. Every so often they are just amazed at things he does. However he certainly needs to get stronger.
Playing time next year will be difficult because of all of the bigs. Akola is huge and also has a ton on potential. Dante is going to be very good and Khadeem is developing rapidly. Before he graduates Khadeem actually may play some at the 3.

Agreed. I think it will be a nice advantage against teams that run 4 guard line-ups which are somewhat common in college. Plus, you always want guys who can defend multiple positions because it makes it harder for the other team to find mismatches through screens.
