They just got a commit from a guy who will probably be the newcomer of the year in the Big 12 (Ricardo Ratliffe) and return one of the best and most experienced group of sophomores in the Big 12. Mike Dixon is a better player than JT Tiller ever thought about it being and they wont really skip a beat there.....

They will be the favorite to win the Big 12 next season.

No CU?

MU also got a commitment from Matt Pressey today (and yes, he'll be on scholarship; I said on here that he wouldn't be... unless 2-3 spots opened up, and at least 2, possibly 3 spots are opening up).

Miguel Paul has already confirmed via facebook that he will be transferring. Rumors indicate he'll be looking at South Florida or St. John's. Tyler Stone is the other likely transfer (it's been all but confirmed that he won't be back). Kadeem Green is also apparently a longshot to qualify.

Mike Dixon may end up better than Tiller, and he's certainly a better scorer already, but he's got a long way to go before he's anywhere near the defender Tiller was.

They won't be the favorite to win the Big Xii, I wouldn't think. Not as long as Kansas still exists. But they'll definitely contend.

Not sure MU would be the favorite, but if Udoh leaves Baylor I think you could throw MU, KSU, KU, and UT into a hat a pick a favorite.

OU was in on Kadeem Green. Did he sign an LOI?

:woot This again. Mizzou will be lucky to be 5th again in the Big 12 like this year. They won't be any better than 3rd in the North.

We can always depend on you to hate on anything Kstate of Mizzou related.

I'm saying KSU will be 2nd so that really doesn't make sense.
Look at Mizzou's roster...it doesn't compare to KU or KSU's.
We went thru this Mizzou hype last year. They don't have the horses.

did NIU?

Man yal are immature, shut the h*ll up about Kansas, so what Cheno likes em, he's a way more competent poster than many of yal and he really doesn't favor them often. Can we move on? Yal are like Owen Field and Tim Tebow, just let it go.

I love it when Mizzou and K-State do well. It makes Cheno look silly with the vitriol he spews about them, especially since this is an OU board and most of us dislike ku much more than MU or KSU. Let's revisit some classic Cheno posts from September:

"Mizzou is weak and a non-factor. They had 1 good year.
It's over now."

"They will be weak this year.
They won't make the dance.
Book it."

"The hyperbole of Mizzou, Baylor and others on this board is borderline crazy.
Mizzou will not make the tourney."

As we all know, MU made it as far as ku in the tourney and KSU and Baylor came close to making the Final Four.

Suggestion: Leave your hatred of MU and KSU at the door. This is an OU board and most of us don't like ku.

I think you got it backwards. Everyone thinks KU is a great program. That's not even up for debate. I was just pointing out how he slights KSU and MU at every turn and the fact is that they are good programs with good coaches. KSU aint goin nowhere soon and for Mizzou to have the season they had with the roster they had is pretty good. Anderson really should have been coach of the year with the lack of shooting and scoring he had coming into the season. To not acknowledge that is disingenuous.

They have the horses.....

Kim English - All Big 12

Ricardo Ratliffe - Big 12 Newcomer of Year. #1 juco player in country.

Tony Mitchell - Big 12 all freshman team

Laurence Bowers - Returning double figure scorer

Marcus Denmon- Returning double figure scorer

Mike Dixon- Very promising young guard point who averaged 7.5 ppg as a backup true freshman

Matt Pressey- Most Valuable Player of Region XIV. The son of former NBA player Paul Pressey, Matt ranked third in the league with 17.5 points per game. He also averaged 4.3 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 2.4 steals while converting 40 percent of his 3-pointers to rank among the leaders.

Phil Pressey - #13 point guard in country

Being from KC and knowing a little about MU...are either of these guys "Bigs"? The major problem with MU is that they have no depth in the middle and no big man. When Stafford got injured last year, they got abused in the middle by everyone. So are either of these a big man?
