It sucks to fall out of the rankings, but the brackets these guys put out and the RPI are better indicators of seeding.

Case in point is SMU, they moved into the Top 25 b/c they beat Cincinatti at home on ESPN this weekend, but they are ranked 48 in the RPI while we are 22 and we will most assuredly get a better seed than they will.

I agree. But we still aren't getting much respect. Texas is seeded higher than we are and we have a win at their place. For whatever reason people aren't buying into the fact this is a pretty damn good team. Their going to have to continually prove themselves over and over...which hopefully will keep them motivated and avoid a let down at any point.

I agree, Texas being a 4 is a little ridiculous, but they still have games at Lawrence, Ames and Norman, so they have losses coming. The loss at West Virginia hurt perception, most people have no idea of the circumstances surrounding the travel. Just finish up well with our favorable remaining schedule and probably end up with a 4 or 5 seed.

I'd rather be a 6 than a 4 or 5. I'd take a 6.

I don't want to be a #4 seed EVER again. I would rather be any other seed than that...way too many bad memories. In four times being a #4 (eight projected wins)...we've won ONE game. I'd rather be a #13...we have two wins with that seed. ;)

disagree. there will be some darn tough 3 seeds we would have to beat to get sweet 16. 4 or 5 seed makes it much easier

We can hang with 3-seeds. You get by the 3-seed and you play the 2 instead of the 1. The longer we play, the better the exposure.
