First, best crowd in many years. Too bad our play took them out of the game.

Second, best halftime ever. The magic guy was unreal.

Third, we just didn't play very hard except for a minute or two in the second half. Hard to understand, when you are on national TV, your arch rival is in town, the crowd was unreal, etc. Just hard to understand the complete lack of effort in my opinion.

Fourth, you can point to a lot of little things that each kid could be doing better, and at schemes, but at the end of the day, if they take shots and they go in and we take shots and they don't, you aren't going to win. particularly where, as with this team, you are a below average defensive team.

And finally, it seems everyone is following Alabama's playbook now. Maybe Alabama stole it from earlier, I don't know. Take easy transition baskets, and if you can't get those, make us play defense for at least 30 seconds (because we won't or can't). Maybe lon should start soft pressing to eat up a few seconds (and when the opposing team isn't in scoring position) and playing zone for the first 15-20 seconds of the shot clock, then switch to man and get under people on the 3 line. Or on second thought, that may be stupid. But, whatever, we need to quit doing the same thing and expecting a different result.

In any event, you could live with this team better if they took an occasional charge and got on the floor with opposing teams after balls. Right now, they don't seem to care much.

I watched Houston play Temple on Sunday. The difference in effort on defense was unbelievable. Also, when one player hit 2 quick 3's several other players congratulated him. I don't see either with ou. Anyone know what the chemistry issue is?

My only take is if one team win both match ups then texas is the better team. Not saying they're good because they are not

So, if we beat Kansas, but they win out afterwards. We win tonight, but otherwise lose the rest of our B12 games, we are better than Kansas?

I'm all for trying a zone for a good part of the game....even though it tends to hurt us in rebounding. Having said that, KU is a really good 3-point shooting team and could just bury us if they get hot. But we have to try something....we are pretty much at critical mass right now.

I get the rebounding part, but I think this team is better in a zone. Too many of our players get lost in a man to man, especially in transition or when a switch is necessary.

Have you alerted the NCAA to your brilliant logic? Please do, because surely they will award OU the 1988 national title since they swept KU that regular season.

But we didn't beat them the third time, if OU/texas plays again and OU wins then you you have a point. I just go by what's been done up to this time
