Got to go to the game, and it was a lot of fun.

The ladies played very hard, but quickly looked very tired. As the legs go, so does shooting -- usually.

Generally, I was pretty pleased with the defense we played. Kids worked very hard. Gave up some stuff we won't later in the year, but was pretty good I thought.

Our rebounding fundamentals are light years ahead of where they were a couple years ago.

I would like to see us get stronger with the ball. We had quite a few turnovers but really the stats don't tell the story because we had a number of balls just taken from us under the basket or as we were coming down with rebounds, and those don't get reported as turnovers.

I like the current rotation but it probably does get a little difficult to get continuity with the revolving door on players.

All in all, it was a good win and I really enjoyed seeing the ladies play in person. BTW Tulsa is a scrappy bunch, but very small.

I have a feeling if Mossman continues to be at Tulsa, they will be a very good team in a couple of years. They need some gamers and some size to say the least.

This is her 5th year at Tulsa. I am not sure they will make another step up. She did well in CUSA. And if they had stayed in CUSA, she would probably be doing really well. Unfortunately for her case they stepped into the American Conference & that is not a easy conference.

I think she will continue to do a respectable job, but I am not sure they will be a "very good" team; any more than they are now.

She does a very good job recruiting the OK kids, but will never consistently get the great ones to come to Tulsa.

On the pre-game interview on the Tulsa telecast, I thought she sounded like Sherri. I wasn't sure who they were interviewing at first.

+1

I agree totally! This looks like the weakest team she's had at TU and should be one of the strongest after being there for 4 years.
