Nancy Mulkey

For me and the short time the officials allowed her to play, yeah they were that bad, I thought she was very fluid, especially on defense. She fought for position and rebounded very well. 5 rebounds in about 14 mins. not bad. As far as dunking, to be quite honest, I could care less if she does or not, that doesn't interest me, what surprised me was she brought the ball down after helping break the press, stopped above the free throw line elbow and drained the shot. She is an excellent free throw shooter. As she matures and works on her skills, she is going to be just a big a threat away from the rim as she is at the rim. With another year and the summer after with the Sooners, she is going to have to be reckoned with.

She's exactly what we need- Wish she was around this season. KK and Vivi are very good, but we can catch a mismatch against bigger, longer teams. Great addition.

What roc is referring to is a particular play in which the Skyline press was all over the Cy Woods guards, and there had been several problems. The ball got to Nancy at about the top of the key in the backcourt. There was nobody that she could throw it to, no guard who could get open. So, she dribbled it calmly up court until she reached just inside the top of the key. At that point, she just pulled up, shot a nice jump shot that swished to give Cy Woods a three-point lead. That play seemed to break Skyline's spirit for a few minutes.

So did Wilt.

I know you meant to type something else. There are many words to describe him but skinny and weak are not them.

Actually, he got the name, "Wilt, the Stilt," because he was skinny. It wasn't until later in his career that he finally became known for his strength. And, that is exactly what I meant. He was considered skinny and weak when he really wasn't.

Syb is correct KC.

In college and several years afterwards Wilt was skinny as a rail.

Anyone wanting to see Mulvey play in state finals, fox southwest is replaying the game tonight at 8

If it is the finals, you won't see much of her. She was on the bench for about 18 of the 32 minutes.
