Did Cam Clark get an invite? I saw where Markel Brown and Marcus Smart got invited. Smart declined to participate in the skill drills. Heh. He did have a 36" vertical. Brown had the 3rd best vert of all time at 43.5".

Why do you pretend to not be an OSU fan? Not sure about Cam.

Bob Jr said on the radio yesterday that Smart measured 6'2" and weighed 227 lbs. He reported that was the most anyone 6'2" and under had ever weighed since the NBA started measuring players.

I guess he jumps pretty high for a fat kid.

What is Westbrook's vertical?

I am the absolute worst at projecting how college players will perform in the NBA (about the only two I have gotten correctly are Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Durant) but I have always thought Brown will be a good NBA player. I think he is very underrated.

Brown will be interesting because he is a freak athlete but has very little else in his game for the NBA. He shoots poorly and can only go to his right.

He shot 38% from 3 last season and averaged 17.2 per game. He actually scored more points than Smart but Smart had that suspension. He had more blocks than Smart too.

Wow that's a bad list of players. Obviously vertical is a pretty meaningless metric.

Vertical is kind of like a 40 time in football. It means a lot until the less athletic guy develops the other parts of his game. Some guys coast on superior athleticism and never do that. The best are the ones who have both.

Keep scrolling down that list, and once you get into the low-mid 30s, there aren't a whole lot of good NBA players.

The line is much farther in the league. He does make some shots but he puts up some ugly ones too. Very streaky as a shooter. I have no idea if he is good enough to make it he will be given a chance.
