"The evidence presents an unprecedented failure of institutional integrity leading to a culture in which a football program was held in higher esteem than the values of the institution, the values of the NCAA, the values of higher education and, most disturbingly, the values of human decency."

100% spot on. They got off easy.

You won't know if they got off easy or not until the last lawsuit has been settled and the verdict in the last trial has been read.

Of course we know. A vast majority of NCAA Presidents determined the appropriate penalty for Penn State was a 4 year death penalty and fine in the hundreds of millions of $.

When the Penn State president was informed of this he agreed to forgo a formal investigation as long as the death penalty was taken off the table. He was able to negotiate the 4 year death penalty down to a 5 year probation with the loss of 20 scholarships and get the fine reduced by over $100 million.

It's the equivalent of a person charged with murder facing the death penalty pleading guilty in exchange for a 20 year prison sentence. They got off easy.

The sad part is that all the people criticizing this easy sentence still don't get it. They still hold the football program in a higher esteem than human decency.

Levi Brown is an Arizona Cardinals offensive tackle from Penn State and his comments were extremely classy. He said what expired at his school was tragic and any price they have to pay is warranted for something so egregious.
