NCAA Tournament: The Sweet 16 Thread

1-seeds usually get a homecourt advantage in one of sites. It seems like ou has to play in other team's backyard even when we are the 1 or 2 seed. That should never happen imo.

Agreed. That's my point. It should be a neutral site tournament.

Kansas looks fantastic tonight. Purdue is a good team and KU is just carving them up. Home court or not, if they keep playing like this, they're going to the Final 4.

Of course it is, at least until the Final 4. They could have put KU anywhere but Kansas City.

Please post your proposed bracket using this year's teams/sites with no home advantages.

not like it's the first time.

Purdue folded like a cheap tent.

in the 21st Century the NCAA tournament has protected top seeds while marketing "cinderella"....

I've already answered that. N. Carolina goes to KC. KU goes to Memphis. Damn that was difficult.

I don't disagree with any of that. I just don't think they should do that.

As I said the other day, it's like when OU had to play Syracuse in Albany (of course then we were the higher seed). It shouldn't happen. But of course it will again next year.

Lol! There are 67 games to play.

Impossible.

So they do the most logical and say if we are going to have to have some home court advantage, let's at least attempt to award the higher seeds.

I don't think anyone has ever been given more favorable treatment in playing locations than KU, UNC and Dookie! Not even UK can match that treatment!

Down goes Zona. Xavier kids are tough.....down 8 late and scrap back to win.

X vs the zags should be a great game Saturday. I think Boucher's injury finally catches up to Oregon on Saturday.

Frank Martin slapping the Baylor Highlighters around like so much brisket.

I just sit here...

How in world did OU lead ku in both games...get blown out by tbe highliters...watching this chit

Ugh, pet peeve of mine to end the Wisky/UF game.

In a situation like that, you have to do one of two things. Either "turn" the ballhander, or probably a better option, run two guys at him and that will likely either slow him down or force a pass. You cannot let a guy catch the ball and dribble straight down the floor like that. Heck of a game to watch though.

No doubt. Big dude from Wisconsin just kept backpedaling and ended up giving the guy a wide-open (though still difficult) look from deep. Worst case scenario for meeting him at 25 feet is he gets around you and hits a tough runner to send it to OT.

Oh well. Wisconsin had no business winning and then no business losing in a pretty short span of time. If they had to do it over again, they'd probably take the eight-point loss in regulation.
