A staff member was giving extra benefits to players and was dismissed. I think we can assume this was Yoyo based on what I was told a few weeks ago, and with the others around here wondering why he hadn't been on the sidelines.

how disappointing... but really our compliance office turns everything under the sun in to the NCAA, so its hard to take much of these minor violations seriously...

I'm guessing it wasn't money. If it were cash, compliance couldn't have detected it. I don't think he would have been dumb enough to arrange a $3,000 loan like Taliaferro did for Tiny Gallon. That would bring in the possibility of NCAA sanctions.

I would further guess it was something much more minor, but OU has kind of a no-tolerance policy in regards to athletes (e.g. Shannon and Mixon), so I suspect that policy would also apply to coaches.
