Yup. Also, no one in the media has picked up that Randall Stephenson's mentor is Carlos Slim (Mexican billionaire) who is also close friends with Eduardo Najera. Joe C never wanted Slim's money, but the basketball program now has two ties to Slim's fortune.

I think he is still full of it.

It won't even be Denny's call to make on his own. I just don't see how you can bring him back if we win something like 1-4 SEC games and attendance (for non-free games) continues to be abysmal.

I don't know if Randall S. cares about basketball. He may or may not. But Joe H. isn't going to just let declining attendance and donations to basketball slide.
 
For the record, I would much rather be discussing how many more wins OU needs to make the tournament and what seed they could get. I think this is the first year in close to a decade OU is completely out of the picture by February 1st.

But, it seems our conversations are on what the new AD is gonna do.

I think the AD may be optimistic but I think reality will hit him hard when he’s sitting in an empty LNC watching OU lose for the tenth time in a row.

We were also out of it by this point three seasons ago thanks to Moser. We were 11-9 after 20 games, then had the fluke Bama win on January 28, followed by four straight losses. Even with the Bama win, we weren’t in bubble contention, so that was another season we were playing out the string for six weeks.

Before that, it was the disaster season under Lon were Woodard was in and out of the lineup the year after the FF. But something tells me if the portal existed, Lon would have been able to bring in enough talent after graduating Buddy and Cousins and Spangler to keep us afloat.
 
If Moser is allowed to stay for another season, he shouldn't get a dime of NIL money. Between his salary, salaries for assistant coaches and paying players, we'd just be lighting on fire millions of dollars.

Well I just meant the board. Atleast, after the Bama win, there was a glimmer of hope as of January 30th. Like it wasn’t impossible for them to start to put some wins together and get back into the national conversation. Now, there’s nothing. Nada. Zilch.

This is ultimately how he gets fired. The BMDs won't pony up for another season of NIL for him.
