Sources say per Twitter McKenna Treece has commited to
The Sooners!

Not a bad signee she gives us size and she has a younger 6'4 sister!

In terms of spring additions, I think that this is pretty much the best that you could hope for.

here's the espn last scouting review

USJN Gateway Challenge-May 2013: Consumate blue-collar insider competes on glass, defends in key; left handed mid post faceup game yields results; aggressive on glass, competes on both ends of the floor. (Olson)

Sounds like a taller version of Joanna McFarland. Nice post addition to work with Vionnese or Kaylon.

sounds like she had some injury problems in hs....hope that isn't a problem in college..

From K-State website:

Treece is a 6-3 forward from St. Peters, Mo., who currently plays at Incarnate Word Academy in St. Louis which was ranked No. 5 in the preseason Sporting News 2013-14 Girls Top-25. She helped the Red Knights to an unbeaten 31-0 record in 2012-13 and the Missouri State title while averaging 7.6 points and 6.0 rebounds per game off the bench. In the 2012-13 season, Treece earned MWAA White All-Conference Team honors.

Entering her senior season with the Red Knights, Treece has helped Incarnate Word Academy to a record of 87-8 and two state titles (2011 and 2013) and a third-place finish (2012). In 2011, Treece was named to the All-Underclassman Team at the Girl Powher Showcase.

“McKenna Treece is a strong, physical presence in the post with a solid foundation of fundamental post moves and great hands,” said Patterson about her new forward. “She runs hard and well, she is a terrific post passer, and has range to the 3-point line. McKenna brings a strength element to our post game that is a strong need in our program. McKenna and Shaelyn both have the potential to impact our program immediately.”

Achilles tear.

Thanks. Williams from Duke has been playing on and off with a stress fracture, I think you have to stay off it for it to heal up, at worse she could be a little out of shape/ behind on some of the plays when the season starts.

Sometimes, the stubborn to heal stress fractures require a pin. She might need a specialist to evaluate what shoes she should be wearing, too.

A tweet from Treece's friends/

@sydneygoodson13: S/O to one of my best friends @tallasa_TREEce for committing to OU today! So proud of you😘 can't wait to watch you kill it up there next yr👊🏀

@ProspectsNation: #CommitmentCentral: Oklahoma @SoonersWBB w/a verbal from former Kansas State '14 McKenna Treece @tallasa_TREEce. Treece visited OU Sunday.

tycat,
Most impressive thing about that note you found on the tourney where McKenna was named MVP.

Beat out her own teammate Collier who is a top 5 player for 2015 verballed to Uconn
and beat out another top 5 2015 player in Durr and a 3rd top top 5 for 2015 in Brown.

So in that tourney she was playing on an elite team against elite competition.

Looks like her HS Incarnate Word in St.Louis is a prep powerhouse having an alum from there won't hurt in recruiting either.
