He was at Northwestern...so obvious connections to Dildy & Malnati.

Tad Glibert is in his fourth season with the men's basketball program and currently serves as the assistant director of basketball operations.

Glibert's responsibilities include coordinating film exchange with other universities, managing film operations for practices and games, assisting with team travel, and helping the coaching staff with on-campus recruiting events and tasks. Proficient in SportsCode, Glibert creates highlight films using video organizers and other computer software tools.

He also assists the Director of Basketball Operations in overseeing the team's managers and coordinating summer camps.

Prior to becoming the video coordinator, he served as a graduate manager for the program.

Glibert is a 2014 graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University with a degree in math education. He was a four-year letterwinner and two-time captain for the Indiana Wesleyan men’s soccer team. In his junior and senior seasons, Glibert helped lead his team to two conference championships and a NAIA sweet 16 appearance. He completed his master’s degree in Sports Administration from Northwestern in 2016.

He is a native of Mount Vernon, Ohio, and is married to the former Karly Short.

So, not knocking the wire BUT he played soccer at a small school. I’m not real familiar with job description of DOBO….

But this seems like a “buddy” hire… which I’m definitely against.

Any thoughts?

Well, reread slowly the whole thing… guess he’s been doing that for four years. Wasn’t Cade offered that? Makes sense why we said no and wanted to coach HS ball. To me anyways

DOBO is an administrative job.

The only connection between him and the current staff is it looks like he overlapped with Dildy for a year at Northwestern. It appears the guy has been living in Africa for a couple of years working for a nonprofit.

Scheduling, travel, compliance, and personnel management. Nice to have a basketball guy in the role, but it honestly doesn't matter.

thanks for the clarifications...

I "assumed" wrongly of course, that any staff guy is looking to get into coaching...lol. I know I would..so it didn't make sense with his background. They do say though that soccer is a lot like basketball...:ez-roll:

DOBO at OU does scheduling, hotel logistics, etc. really what the head coach wants. I wonder if DOBos are going to start playing a role in NILs.
