I see only one guaranteed win in the next six games - New Mexico.

We are going to have to step it up or the season could go south really fast.

I don't see us finishing in the top 4 of the conference. I think we'll be lucky to make 5th or 6th.

New Mexico is 9-0 and beating Texas Tech handily tonight.

New Mexico is 9-0 from what I read. I'm not so sure we win that one even.

New Mexico is good.

I suspect that any team will be a challenge if we don't figure out what went wrong.

Gabbi and Maddie have been good shooters for four years---until now. It really begins there. Our inside/out doesn't work well if there is no out.

I would not say they have been 'good' shooters, you are strictly looking at percentages. Look at the way they have played against legit defensive teams and they've disappeared. Especially Gabbi. I'll be so glad when this year's seniors are gone, complete letdown, all four of them. But what's most disappointing is that my friends who don't even follow WBB are even starting to notice how awful our team is this year. That UConn game will be an embarrassment. Sadly, I bet she doesn't even get a talkin' to from Joe C. If nobody will hold her accountable for the kind of players she produces after being there for four seasons then there's not much left to do but move on to another team to root for. I never thought i'd be saying this, but at least OSU girls compete.

It starts with recruiting and NOT doing any by the coaching staff. At one point tonight OU had six players available after two fouled out. Sorry, this is on Sherri!!!!!!! They could play lights out and still lose without depth. :facepalm

Maddie
Three point percentage, non-conference: 19 of 58 32.76%
Three point percentage, conference: 29 of 63, 46.0%
Field goal percentage, non-conference: 61 of 146, 41.78%
Field goal percentage, conference: 68 of 158, 43.0%

Gabbi
Three point percentage, non-conference: 12 of 52, 23.07%
Three point percentage, conference: 28 of 76, 36.8%
Field goal percentage, non-conference: 32 of 97, 32.99%
Field goal percentage, conference: 60 of 155, 38.7%

In both cases, last year, they shot better in conference play as opposed to non-conference play. Supposedly, conference play is against stronger teams.

Are we playing NM at their place or ours? If we are at their place they will blow OU off the map they are hard to beat at home and from what I saw last night I would not get my hopes up about us winning to many more ball games.

My real concern and maybe someone in the know could tell me is this - we have 8 girls on the bench last night, I think I counted 9 the other night, 6 will be leaving at the end of the year so how do you play ball with 2 or 3 girls with any experience?

New Mexico knocked off a ranked team in Marquette, playing them on the road and there’s a chance we lose that game to

Well, we may not win another game except against Kansas. Perhaps we can go ahead and count those two victories on our list, which would give us 5 for the year.

It sounds like everyone else agrees that all the rest are possible/probabe losses, especially the way we are playing.

Bring on Softball. There's a coach and team that know how to win and win big.

One guarantee with Coach Gasso is the will fill ALL of her scholarships and then some.
