Anyone in the know on how Atak is looking in practice? Also, thought I had heard Miles could potentially return next season? And is Cole gonna stick or will he be a portal out next year. Just trying to speculate on portal needs for next year. Assuming Fears will be in the draft, but would be big for Miles to return. Just wondering if any of the insiders could offer some insight? Thanks.

Total guess. We are 12 games in.

Cole bounces.
Luke bounces.

Duke Jadon Jeff back would be huge

I would say that Luke starting is not best case by any means.

It’s essentially impossible to perform this kind of exercise these days. I’d guess not a single person would have seen our entire starting backcourt leaving 365 days ago.

Appreciate the responses. I was mainly curious about who might return and how many portal guys we would need. Really hard to predict.

So Duke Miles can come back for another year? He's listed as a senior. It's almost impossible to figure out who can and will come back in college athletics anymore.

Better question is who is completely out… out of time? Or who can come back…?…

Besides Fears… lol

He played six games one season before missing the rest of the year with an injury, so I think it’s all but certain that will be a medical hardship year and mean he has one year of eligibility remaining if he chooses to use it.

Elvis and Goodine are definitely out of eligibility. If Jones doesn’t play at all this season, he would have another year left, but if he plays a single second, he is done.

Wague is in his third year of D-1 after one year of JUCO, so I guess whether he would have another year depends on whether the result of that lawsuit stands.

this is correct ..

Wichita, what lawsuit are you referencing related to Wague?

Whether he starts to not, I would be surprised if Luke left. Who knows with Cole.

BTW, does J Moore have any eligibility left? And, does anyone think the Cali kid (Blair, I think) will show up and play basketball or is the thought he will be going to pro baseball.

The Vandy quarterback took the NCAA to court and the ruling last week was that JUCO years can’t be counted against the four years of NCAA eligibility. I’d guess the NCAA will appeal but maybe they will decide it’s not worth it.

Opinions seem to be all over on Blair. But the stats say that if he is a top 10 round pick, there is about a 97 percent chance he turns pro.

I assume he is meaning the vanderbilt QB who sued the ncaa to get his JUCO time not to count against his eligibility

i don't think this is what the STATS actually say ..

in the NIL era a high level baskeball (or football recruit) is very unlikey to go pro baseball out high school as a 4th-10th round pick .. (really and round outside or 1 or 2) ..

my guess is that you are saying high school kids drafted in the top 10 rounds sign and that is true . (because they agree to sign and for the amount well before they are drafted(with an exception of those in the high first round)) ..
