Dean Wade, Barry Brown, Kamau Stokes... all true freshman. Solid base of players. Need to add a few more pieces and they will have a good squad.
I really like the Wade kid. Looks like a bigger Ryan Spangler to me.

Wade shoots 42% overall and 29% from three. Spangler is leaps and bounds better as a shooter.Much better shooter. I don't think he's near the rebounder (when RS is 100%).
I like Barry too. They will be good!

Aged badly, but it was true at the time. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯Nah.

I feel honored. That's the first time someone has called me out for an old post here.

KSU is the kind of team that on paper you would expect to be very good next year, but they are just as likely to miss the Dance all together as they are to repeat this year's performance. Sometimes things "come together" at the right time. IMO, that is basically what happened to KSU.
KSU did all that with Wade being hurt. They should be a top 4 seed in the tourney next year (and could be higher), as well as a legit contender for the conference title.
I'm willing to bet you cash money they aren't a 1-4 seed next year.
Wade was there for most of the season. A season that saw them roll through a terrible OOC schedule, and lose 8 games in the Big 12. To be a top 4 seed they are going to have to dramatically improve their OOC schedule (and perform well), which I doubt they do, or they are going to have be about 4 games better in the Big 12 next year, which I don't think they'll do.
They'll likely have a season that on paper mirrors this one, but without the Elite 8 run.
I'll put $50 on it, contingent on none of those guys declaring for the draft.
Cool. Remind me after the draft or before the seasons starts next year, and we'll make it official.
