The kid averaged 8.6 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.2 assists in JUCO at Eastern Utah. Did we really expect big things from him?

No, not really. I saw Nick play in the NJCAA tourney last year. He spent most of his time on the perimeter, as a wing, not a post player. I was not all that excited when OU signed him, because we needed help on the interior more than someone who doesn't have the skills and the quickness to play the three, or the body to play the four.

The last two games in Maui aside, Nick has proven to be a good passer at times. He just doesn't have the body type, aggression and toughness to be an effective post player at the D-1 level. IMO, he's a role player, not a starter. But on this year's team???... :facepalm

LOL u mad Deacon? 0+0+1= 1 assist, 2+1= 3 turnovers. Basically you just copied and pasted abd's wrong math stats. Clearly you watched the games. I think what people are saying is Thompson has had a 8 and 7 assist games already this year. As a 4! Yes they were against scrub teams, and he can't create against good teams to utilize his passing. But he is a good passer. Now good everything else? As of right now he needs to change everything about his approach to games and toughness. Period.

You guys want to throw hate or dislike around, start at the top. Capel brought in the Thugs (last year and created this situation)and now the The Program is paying the price.............. The kids on campus wearing the Uni's deserve our support not any part of bashing of them. Just my two cents worth, but then again - I am not part of the OU Hoops.com Circle of Brotherhood.........

A lot of the people on this board graduated from OU with a degree, so stand behind them or get the hell out of here! Lol just kidding dude. We're just discussing basketball, nobody is throwing the kid to wolves. We just want the best for The Program, whoever that is or will be. Our interest in the program's success supercedes any responsibility to never discuss an individuals' ability in a negative light.
