First impressions are big over here at Scout.com and we like this guy. Here’s the checklist: athletic, leaper, jet to the rim, decent shooter. His shot selection could be tightened up but his physical attributes rate high
I saw him catch one of the nicest alley oop dunks of any one on any level a few weeks back. The scout assessment seems to be spot on. One critique I'll add is he floats a little too much on his pullup jumpers. Tends to shoot off balanced when going to the hole. That's common with athletic guys. Needs a few pounds as well.
Nino Jackson, PG, Athlete’s First- A super quick class of 2012 prospect, Jackson was very impressive. The 6-foot-1 player out of Ardmore (Okla.) High is a relentless attacker of the rim who can also pull-up and drain jumpers out to the three point line. A flashy passer, he’s a bit out of control but clearly very talented and a high major prospect. Even better, he’s a big time defender who rips passes out of the air and picks opponents pockets.
We get the elite football players from Kansas, and they get the elite basketball talent (with the exception of Blake) as well as other schools in the area.
What is it going to take to keep these kids here, and more importantly in Norman? I understand (to a degree) with Henry going to Kansas, considering his parents, but what about the rest of them?
Do we need to win a National Title before they consistently stay home?
KU is a basketball school that's very close to Oklahoma. Kids who want to play for a basketball school will consistently go elsewhere. It is what it is. If you want to play in a great college basketball atmosphere in front of packed houses on national TV every night you go to a school with that environment. Every kid is different.
It's not that close to Ardmore, though. But there was a news writer for the Daily Ardmoreite, for one school-year, though, who thought that Ardmore readers wanted to read his thoughts on his alma-mater (KU), back in '84-85. They didn't.
The bottom line is no matter where you are at in Oklahoma you will know about KU basketball and the opposite is true for OU football in Kansas..

No, but I do think that we need to be competitive with Kansas more than we have been. Also I think the right coach would work wonders, I still think that Jeff is that guy in the future. That was the shame of last season, he (and the team) had built up a TON of goodwill among the fans. Now it has vanished (maybe for good).
