Baylor's Niya Johnson is the national leader in assists.

I know that OU doesn't play Baylor until next month, but what strategy will Sherri use to tone her act down?

Try really hard to keep the ball out of her hands, Johnson doesn't score much, if at all in some games.

They only have three 3 pt shooters in Wallace, Prince, and Wright. Other than those 3, we don't have to worry about them shooting from the perimeter. We have to guard those mentioned but we can sag off the other guards to clog the paint to stop drives and slow down interior passes. It will also allow us to have more inside for rebounding. Teams that have great 3 pt shooters as well as in interior game (i.e., Oklahoma) are the ones that concern me most. I will probably eat my words but I'm not overly concerned about Baylor because they primarily rely on an inside game. Slow that down and don't foul and we win.

there are two parts to the assist. The first, and perhaps the most important part, is that the player who delivers the ball actually gets the ball to the player most likely to score, the second is the player who actually scores. OU will need to address this issue in the next couple of weeks.

I agree with this. I see this as another game in which we want to try to do what we did with Texas---take the middle away from them as much as possible. As a team, they lead the Big Twelve in three point shooting, but they don't really shoot much. They were zero for eight last night.

You can't let them get out on the break, and you have to jam the middle. They get a lot of easy offensive putbacks.

I really have not watched the Bears this season. However our strength is our defense from our guards and our ability to get to the rim. We have quickness we haven't had in a few seasons. Just play the way we have the past seven games and either Baylor will wish they didn't have to go to Norman or we won't be able to wait to get another crack at them. This team has proven to me they can play with any body.
