I have a feeling Curry is going to do well at Alabama. Recruiting should be easier than it was in Lubbock.

UCLA primed for a BIG Labor Day Weekend. Nared, Drummer, Billings, Hayes, Canada, Caldwell all coming this wknd for official visit.

I'm wondering why a juco point guard would have signed with Louisville in the first place when both the Schimmels and Bria Smith are there this year and the younger Schimmel and Smith will be there again next year.

LaJahna Drummer was being recruited by Baylor but has committed to UCLA.

UCLA is this year's North Carolina.

Funny you said that because I was thinking the exact same thing earlier this morning. UCLA could end up with the #1 recruiting class this year. Ohio St. is up there near the top too.

Baylor will conduct an in-home visit with Kalani Brown. They could sure use some good news. She is a really good player.

Texas Tech picks up a commitment:

Super 5 Sophomores

Ionna McKenzie 6-2 Forward Florida Lightening - One of the most improved kids in the state in a weak post class McKenzie is proving she belongs in the elite category of 2014 players in Florida. Mckenzie has a great build for college and is a game changer already on defense. Look for her stock to continue to rise.

It appears Lauren Cox visited A&M this weekend as she attended the football game today.

If Auburn signs this girl, they will have a really good class coming in:

No. 12 Shakayla Thomas, 6-0 small forward, Sylacauga HS, (Sylacauga AL)

Thomas is a strong, athletic small forward who can get to the rim and finish, despite contact. It’s this pure athleticism that has attracted nearly every program in the ACC and SEC. As a junior, Thomas she averaged 33 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists per game. In January, she notched her 3,000th career point and was also named the Alabama 5A Player of the Year.

She is currently considering Florida State, South Carolina, Mississippi State, Alabama and Auburn. Thomas took her first official visit to FSU last weekend and has scheduled an official to South Carolina for Nov. 2 and is currently making plans to visit the other schools in the list. She has already received in home visits from Sue Semrau (FSU), Dawn Staley (South Carolina) and Vic Schaffer (MSU).

OSU got a commitment from Mandy Coleman from California who had previously visited Alabama. She is a 6'3" PF who is a good player.
