They have two great players coming this fall in Boley and Young. They are also making a push to sign Megan Walker (#1 ranked player) in the 2017 class. I hope we don't schedule them anytime soon.

Why not. I believe we rescheduled UConn if I am not mistaken.

So we reschedule uconn when they lose 3 of their best players? Why haven't we played them this year and before that like we always do? I always wondered why.

Sadly wouldn't matter if they lost all five starters. Guess there is no harm playing these teams. But I don't really see any advantage at this time playing them.

Definitely no advantage to playing UCONN next season (and probably not ever again, considering I don't see UCONN recruiting dropping off anytime soon) unless recruiting comparable talent takes place. It will be nationally televised more than likely and only expose the programs' for what they truly are. Advantage...UCONN as usual.

I know I am in the extreme minority here about playing UCONN, but that would be like me being asked to sit in a jam session with Jeff Beck, Leo Kotke, and Eric Clapton, then a friend say it's a waste of time because I'm not a great guitarist. Well guess what, I know that but I'm sittin' in.

Kids want to compete against the best, so let them.

Generally speaking, I would agree. But specifically regarding OU right now...I wouldn't recommend it. For preseason maybe a Stanford or TN, but not the #1 team for the past fifty years.

But hey...whatever! If they think they can "compete against the best"...then go ahead and line them up for the preseason. UCONN, South Carolina, Notre Dame, Maryland, Oregon State, Louisville...that's a great preseason preparedness drill! Heck, see if Baylor and Texas want some extra games! :facepalm

Geno is playing OU to attract the younger Levings sister, he'll have more chances to see her in person, and also tell her if she comes to Uconn she'll play Tulsa and OU...

Exactly. Geno and his team are great recruiters. Imagine that.

If there is anything we shouldn't be doing is give another coach more opportunities to recruit Oklahoma players.

They may lose three of their best players but they will just reload.

Keep in mind that neither ND or UConn has found a way to beat us in several years. :ez-laugh: ;) :ez-roll:
