Auburn and Gene Chizik.
Capel has a lot of qualities which would be appealing for Tobacco Road...but I don't think he leaves.
Chizik took over a bad program, that wasnt expected to win, while he was there he was building, implementing his system and trending upward. Caple's situation is totally different. He came to a good program, and 2 of his 4 seasons have been the worst 2 seasons in the last 20 years. Also he isnt currently trending upward, and his program is currently under NCAA investigation.
In coaching, zero history is better than bad history. Capel now has some baggage, and pretty much all he has on his resume at OU, is Blake Griffin . . . who isnt comming along with him to a new school. Coaches who get new jobs after losing seasons, are coaches taking lesser jobs because they're afraid of their current job security. Before Capel leaves OU for a better job, he is going to have to put a couple winning seasons together.
