Observations about Hannas.

1. He may not be a great rebounder but his guys is probably not going to get the rebound. He boxes out hard.

2. He sets hard screens inside. He is and will make it a problem for defenders chasing other Sooners through the middle.

3. He has nice skills offensively around the bucket. (we probably already knew that from his Finland games)

4. Watch the bench, they are really liking what he is potentially bringing to the team. The seem to cheer for him a lot.

5. I'm guessing after a year in our program he will move better and slender up some. Not lose weight but change his body.

Spot on analysis, MisterF! The players are happy to have Hannes on this team, and so am I.

Why am I excited? It's been a long time since OU had a big body down low with his skill set. And, no, I haven't forgotten the big juco guy, Longar Longar's cousin I believe. He was tall, but that's where the comparison ends. Polla is an old school five, a big body bruiser who will occupy and control space inside. He may be a work in progress. But he will change the game inside when he's on the floor.

Did he really not have any rebounds today? I know some people were questioning the stats from the first game.

He meant the game before, he had 0.

Polla looks good to me so far. He has nice touch and offense around the basket. Even in this summer tour he has surpassed my expectations.

I wish we could bring the 24 sec shot clock back to the states. Even the 10 min quarters. It seems like there's so much more basketball in these games compared to the real NCAA ones.

Slow and isn't a great leaper, negating his rim protection ability.

He is a huge body and knows what he is doing out there. I don't expect him to RS but he'll play about 5-10 mpg off bench at best

So humphries from the Sydney kings (former Kentucky center) is listed at 7'0. Polla was a full inch taller, maybe more. It was pretty obvious at the tip. Is it possible that polla is a seven footer or are Humphries' numbers off? Looked taller than mcnease in those still team pictures, too.

Draftexpress usually has real accurate numbers and has humphries at 6'11.25 without shoes.
